  3. well i'm no "terrier man" but i've done a fair bit of digging over the years...and i've had and seen some decent russells....that stay until dug.. maybe they are like hens teeth but could'nt that be said about all terriers..... the one i have now is only a young dog but he's had over 30 digs....and never once failed....not all hard digs but he's had a few awkward ones.....and theres lads on here that can verify this..... Patch....my castrated Russell .
  4. the sky obviously.... .....joking aside it could be coming from the back doors...check the rubbers are'nt split..
  5. whats the best pellet to use in a lightening ?....and why ?....i've always been a fan of H&N field target trophy....but i was told today to use Logun penetrators ?.....are these o.k or are they better suited to pre charged guns ?
  6. not completely mate....he's booked in with the bone man again in a couple of week....so he's on light dutys at the mo... he has improved loads though....so fingers crossed..

  8. well after a heavy night on the beer....i had to get up early  to go for a mooch with Blaze on some permission that thats been loosing a few game birds this year....my lurcher Brin marked a fox in a nice false pipe....so we let Patch in.....hoping for a quick bolt.....but this fox just would'nt bolt and was giving as good as it was getting....Patch was doing his best to kill the fox to ground....so after an hour or so we opened up to Patch and a vixen locked in combat......and ended the life of another bird killer...
  9. well if the jewellers have valued it at 900.....would'nt they be the best buyers ?...
  10. well after watching the kids open all there presents....it was time for me to escape the mayhem.....so i took Brin & Diesel for a stroll....did'nt see much really....a roe that showed Brin just how unfit he still is....a squirrel that also made good his escape....and a drain that Brin marked a fox in...but i never took the terrier because theres loads of registered earths on this land.... a few pics from todays mooch...

  13. a massive fecking headache....as per..
  14. i have a wheaton/greyhound here for stud.....2 grand and 3 bitch pups stud fee....he has'nt done f**k all though....so the pups should be brilliant....
  15. like some have allready said....if you want a dog for a certain job....buy a pup that is bred from dogs that are capable of that job thereself....tried and tested.... theres no point in breeding off anything that wont do what you want the offspring to do.....the odds won't be in your favour at all.... its much easier and cheaper to buy in a pup....than it is to raise a full litter....just to keep a pup....you dont have the unwanted hassle of finding homes for the rest of the litter either.....theres no stud fee to pay....and you can still continue the rest of the season with your bitch....th
  16. theres loads of stud dogs mate....but what you use....should be based on what your wanting the pups to (hopefully) be..... try narrowing things down....by asking for the type of stud you have in mind...
  17. i had a webley hawk years ago....and if i remember right...it had 2 barrels .177 & .22...i could just switch them when ever i liked....a great gun at the time .
  18. i have a pup here out of a 5/8 grey 3/8 bull x 3/4 grey 1/4 bull....so what does that work out at ? ...i told you i'm crap at maths...
  19. i dont think the tyres would help on plough mate....but what you would have to do is set up an account with kwik fit... the exhausts would always be getting ripped off.....they dont have enough ground clearance for ploughs.....
  20. i drive myself...and i've been with some of the best "land drivers" and the worst lol....i've had some good nights and some bad nights.....but the good always out weighs the bad imo.....
  21. it's a sad fact that there will always be masses of wastage....when it comes to greyhound racing..... however.....nobody destroys more healthy animals than the RSPCA.....something that a lot of people dont realise......or pretend they did'nt..
