best of luck with him mate i had problems with my dog up until 12 months old he was hard work and many a time tested my patiance to boiling piont not so much with chasing rabbits he loved that it was with his alround behaviour he would run a mile to sniff a dogs arse and if the other dog give chase then it could go on forever and i would be left with a soar throat from shouting him and a red face from chasing him round many a time i just wanted to turn and walk off but im glad i persisted as hes turned out better than i ever imagined it seems like the penny drops and you never look back nowada

nice dogs [bANNED TEXT] i like the saluki cross i was out lamping with a mate on friday whos got 1 and i was very impressed after hearing how stuborn they can be this dog wasnt at all infact he was the opposite and for a bigish dog the recovery after runs was excellent i certainally wouldnt mind saluki blood in a dog in the future

the fact ive got to change them at all as done my head in its not really good enough for an £100+ lamp is it im sure if a lamp company designed a lamp with only hunting in mind or even fiel tested there products they would see that these componants arnt up to the job but ill get them dura plug things maty recomends and then it should be happy days again! until something else goes wrong!

me and my mucka baz have been out for a walk tonight on a farm we havnt been for a long time well we shouldnt have bothered we saw very little but jesper ran 3 out of 3 which is better than nowt and bazzas bitch nearly took one out the seat and got close to another for it to just slip thru an edge as she struck. We had to walk hard for em many an empty feild between runs quite suprised how soft the ground was tho considering it was very cold on top of the hills! anyway sorry about the picks i had my old man helping out and he was moaning about the cold!

i spent £140 on my lamp and its shit the connections are shite the belt battery pack is all taped up but the actual lamp itself is great the beam is spot on and i think once ive sorted the connectors out it will be the bees knees but the lamp questions seem to crop up a lot on this forum makes me wonder what sort of feild testing these lamps get before they hit general sale im sure if a company aimed there product design more towards the hunter rather than general sale they would see that many of the componants used on these lamps are sub standard to heavy every day hunting use suppose the pr

we are lucky down here we have the rabbits to catch and if you have plenty of game youre dogs should be fit, mark very true mark small feilds very shy rabbits make for some hard running up here but still it takes a very well trained and bred dog to consitantly take the bags that you do my hat is well and truely tipped mate you own some beautifull animals and they serve you well.

i lost my toggle slip lead the other week and was gutted as it was a good bit of kit but now i am into the rope and collar its very cheap if lost and its much simpler but if you do have slip i wouldnt bother with the ones you slip at the collar way to much faffing round for my liking!

where do you get them from would bq have anything like that or would it have to be somewhere like maplins!

bedlington/whippet/greyhoundx whippet /greyhound with abit of deerhound and collie brother and mother that dog in the bottom pic looks the double of my dogs mother! very nice. how you geting on with them jesper is a decent rabbit dog and was a good (pre ban!) hare dog but hes not done much charlie(pre ban) hes had 2 in the day and 1 on the lamp but he hasnt ran many as its not what i had him for the blonde dog in the picture is a different dog altogether tho he loves mixing it and hes half the black dogs size!

it was sold to me as a collie whippet greyound the dog was a whippet greyhound and the bitch collie greyhound but i spoke to another lad who had a pup of him from the same litter and he said the bitch had saluki in its breeding so im not 100% whats in him. i like the look of your stuff tho how they bred? im struggling for a decent picture of him this one shows him alittle better!

well i managed get my dad out with me and my bro after many a story of how it used to be done back in the day( he doesnt bother anymore!) and had a good couple of hours hes never seen a dog at work with ferrets and when simba and jesper froze at a 3 hole bury he asked whats up with the dogs son i told him that its a mark and there was something home first bury and a dig but it was only a foot so no stress we moved on further down the field where we found another nice bury and again a good mark from the dogs this time it was a bit bigger around 20 holes so we netted most of it and left 2 holes

Just curious what makes a terrier LOOK like a rabbiter ??Always looking to learn little tips i to am curious on what makes a dog look like a rabbitter it seems to me royston dosnt like russells and if it doesnt contain any pat or lakey blood then its useless for anything other than rabbitts but i may be wrong and i am awaiting judge roystons verdict on what makes a rabbittey looking dog maybe if i sprayed the dog black or tan then it wouldnt look so rabbitty and would have old foxy bolting and waving a white flag before the dog has even entered.

whats looks got to do with it pal you should never judge a book by its cover whats the piont in having a good looking dog that hasnt got a clue as i said ive dug to that dog plenty she isnt the hardest of dogs that i admit but she stays and she never struggles to ground like some of the black dogs i go out with that struggle in tight tubes anyway im more than happy to put money where my mouth is and royston your welcome come dig to that bitch anytime you want pal bring some of your own stuff to if you want well make a good day of it drop me a pm when your ready mate!
