Well done Mat Tell us a bit more on how he worked.. how many dogs were you working in that earth ?? :whistle: we worked 3 dogs, but truly just 2 of them get in contact, border was to big in chest to go through, we checked may be 15 earth, but nothing in, we go through the fields and dogs were checking some bushes, they started to bay, when we came to them we found fresh dead body of dog fox, few meters from holes, i could not say if they drive him out from earth and drawn but i d say he has some inside injuries, may be he was hit by car and dogs found him and drawn or they just f

  4. two of them are alive, we ll raise them, we do not have the end of the season, we have lots of foxes which make big damages on wild birds, rabbits.... and we have here lot of diseases here so this is the reason why we hunt all the year. i cut out that photo. sorry

  7. nice pics, i never have camera out with me in right moment, exactly he was drawing the the fox only 2times cause he is just 20months, but drawned several cats. i ll bring some pics of my dog working quarry very soon. we re hunting fox all the year.
  8. hard to say i ve got only for 2 weeks, i was 3 times out with no problem, but except once nothing at home, its made from really hard plastic, i made for it a small plastic cover, so i m pretty sure no prob with bite, and how i said if rescue services trust dem why should not i. tech parametres y can find on web. we re hunting foxes during whole year so we will see, i ve 5y warranty. how i said i m satisfied.   10. collar + transmitter 110eur transreceiver box depens which one y gona use, if only analogue one, full kit price 250eur or the digital one 300eur but depens y can buy the box one ebay and y can get even better price, of course y can buy PIEPS DSP and have a accurate to 10cm, i made several tests and i get exact point of transmiter, and of course y can use analogue mode to get bigger range, y have 8 levels of analogue search so y can get exactly to transmitter. but its mainly about practice y can have B&F and y can dig meter off. y have to know the princip of searching and locatting. mammu

  16. how y said it s about y own preference, it s hard to say if any breed is better or worse depand on each dog, it s also depand on conditions, here are prefered german hunting terrier, and dachshund than welsh terrier, border terrier and patterdale.. these are most preferable dogs. patts cen be better because of their size, welsh and german hunting terrier are good in those regions where are badgers and the climate is colder. i ve beddie and plan to have more. these dogs are suitable for nearly all kind of hunting here in Slovakia. but i think the best "workin breed" are patterdales, i
  17. nice pics, beautiful country , we have now -6 and we re all happy what a warm weather after minus 20 in some parts 3m of snow and more than -30.
