my akela is only 19month, but he was in contact with fox more than 20 times, he work and he work hard, unfortenately i dont have any pics but but i m goin hunting this weekend so we will see. we have also those special places where we train our dogs, but no one is allowed to make some pics because of greenpeace and such organizations, slovakia is only country which is allowed to make some competitions in fox hunting. probably Akela is not what y are lookin for but i wanna just let y know
-
hey guys lets say in each country, hunters use what they think is best for their conditions. i red book about hunting history, in europe people used also bigdogs but after they find out rifles they start to use smaller one, teckels and terriers because they can use them for several jobs, and they are more suitable for our conditions, during last weekend we shot 12 boars and one fox. i ve to say that here some people which use bullterriers and pits and they re happy with them, i heard about one bullterrier which stop 120kg boar. how i sad hunters use what they think is best for their condition

That's not strictly true though Matulkoh otherswise they'd all be running Great Danes or English Mastiffs. It's true you do need some size to pull up a good sized boar, but then again, you don't hunt like that so you don't need the size. I've seen little dogs used over in Australia for flushing pork out of the brambles but that's so that the bigger dogs can grab hold. In that situation you'd probably use a gun, that's where you guys differ. A Bedlington isn't going to be much use in holding a pig so that you can stick it, so they use the dogs they've got and for the most, do a proper good job
-
Ahh, the pig is a worthy adversary, and store bought guinea pigs aren't. Maybe that's the difference? Guess you need to be of british ancestry to understand, Samuel white baker explains; "THE LOVE OF SPORT is a feeling inherent in most Englishmen, and whether in the chase, or with the rod or gun, they far excel all other nations. In fact, the definition of this feeling cannot be understood by many foreigners. We are frequently ridiculed for fox-hunting: 'What for all dis people, dis horses, dis many dog? dis leetle (how you call him?) dis "fox" for to catch? ha! you eat dis creat

thanks, how y like the new pics in gallery
-
i did that once few years ago, how i said we have them in shops like food for snakes, so what? no rats, by the way whats the difference? pigs are better? i didnt mean that the dogs or hunters are doing bad job i just mentioned that they are not suitable for our condition, thats all. in their county bigger better, here bigger or slower= dead.
-
one more thing, we use dogs for seeking pigs, push away from places where we are not able to shoot and for seekin shot ones.
-
ok, we have some experiences with dogo argentino, pitbulls, bullterriers and the result is in our conditions smaller is better, y ll be supprised if y see our jag terriers they are much more touqher than most of dogs y ever seen. we also use bigger dogs like Slovak Kopov, but not that huge like yours, we ve special places for training, more than 300 years of traditions and experiences. dogs like yours never have chance, may be they would be succesfull once or twice but then y d find the dead if y find them. ok we have here dogs like turkmen alabai or caucasian owcharka which are two times big

new pics from last weekend competition and test.
-
nice videos but y and your dogs never have chance to hunt wild pigs in Slovakia, we have here pigs which can be around 300kg, dogs of these size will be dead in a minute. go to galery and see my bedlington with small 120 kg pig, friends bully try to stop the pig in 2o seconds was the end of the fight, luckely we save her.

Akela JA-St Czech 1price CACT we were on two days test in mountain side of Slovakia, dogs were showing their skills in 14 disciplins, 6 refrees, to days of hunting wild pigs, the toughest tests for terriers, we ended on third place behind patt and smooth fox, but lot of people think that Akela should won but the dog with ovine appearance couldn´t. there were breeds like welsh terrier, wire fox, patt, Slovakian kopov, borders.... and all behind bedlington. refrees said that he is one of the toughest dog they ever seen. two of them have jagterriers. i bring some pics in few days.
-
