  1. These are a few I use, the tunnel is a modified commercial to take the VC 120-2 bodygrip. Commercially bought tunnel (pm me if you want company). Conibear mount. You can nail this mount to a tree or post and place you trap on, cover with fir branches etc. Stabliser. Not seated properly. 120-2

  4. I process all my rabbits now into pet mince, vacuum pack it and sell it for £1.75 - £2.00 kilo. The local farm shops sell it. Even the game dealer still pays £1.00 each gutted - head shot or ferreted. Also I have started tanning the rabbit furs myself, have you seen the price they sell for at the shows around £6.50 or £9.00 if it has velcro to wrap arond a dummy. 120-2

  14. ‘Burrow-collapsing’ devices - Joint statement from BPCA & NPTA There are devices now available for causing explosions in underground burrow systems. These are marketed in some countries as a method of pest control for moles, rats, rabbits and other burrowing species. The British Pest Control Association (BPCA) and the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) wish to point out that the use of any explosive (other than ammunition) for the purpose of killing or taking any wild animal is prohibited under section 11(1) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. 15. You really need to get someone to show you how to use them before you just set them indescriminately.
  16. Hi Moley. The Central Science Laboratory tests the trap on behalf of DEFRA. DEFRA also decide whether or not to fund the testing although this can be paid for privately if DEFRA decide not to but they have the final say after testing whether to add it to the approved spring traps list or not. Also you generally have to give around 10 traps to the CSL for testing, I think the killing time was 3 minutes but they are working to bring it down. The CSL will do a lot of the testing themselves but do also sub-contract some to bodies like the Game Conservancy etc. I myself have a trap going th
  17. I don't think anyone can criticise the trap unless they have tried it themselves like moley. I have ordered a couple to try and will test myself. Recently more development has gone into reducing killing time of the Mk4 and 6 and the company that make Springers have upto now been leading the way whilst Fenn have been left behind and just produce the same trap they always have. I carry out periodic subcontractural work for DEFRA and CSL and new legislation regarding killing time is not very far away. OJ
  18. Thanks for the replies, I will always choose the easiest method first as you can see there are loft pictures there but sometimes when all else fails this catches every time. There are a lot of people these days with loft conversions which makes it sometimes impossible to trap inside, and trapping outside although very successful you can end up catching half a dozen squirrels sometimes before you get the one you want. I bought my first 116 bodygrip from Magnum Trap when they first came on the list and watched Phil and Glen's video and realised then the potential these traps and the kania ha
