  2. Hi every one Chaz & Paul & I went over to the dairy farm Tuesday evening, in the rain and wind and freezing temperatures. It was a quiet night at the dairy with just a few shots between us, with none of the rats retrieved. Apart from one! Just as we was getting ready to go to the grain store i spotted a rat level with the calf barn, at the end of the track .this is a good sniping spot as Si & andy&archie know to well and will know that it is some distance! Well I had run out of Air Arms Field Plus .22 18 gr, and zeroed earlier with the 16gr I took aim with the AAS410K dress

  7. hi i have used cheap riles co2 & smk and both have performed well for me,at a range of 30yds.i didn't take any quarry past this range,as i didn't fell comfortable with the rifle and my self i would rather use a AA or HW or a better brand, for longer range shots and i shall keep my refurbed( when its finished) BSA meteor in the van,as i do get to work in some rural places,i always ask first though regards davy
  8. hi buddy what pellets are you using? what range are you zeroing at? and what cal is it ? how many shots have you put through it? the barrel may need cleaning give it a clean and tighten the scope up (finger tight) and practise, and practise give your self time to get use to the rifle let us know how you get on regards davy
  9. Hi every one Johnboy19 has given me the opportunity to Refurb this BSA meteor MK4, which has been lying around in his attic since he moved in. so like a good chap he has offered it up to some TLC and I took the challenge! All I had to pay was postage. Thank you john! As some of you will know! I refurbed another meteor MK5 last year, but this one is slightly in worse condition, it arrived to day and I took it apart and this is what I found! This BSA meteor was NO!!!WAY neglected by john, just to make it clear!!! Here are some pics of before I took it apart

  11. hi josh welcome to the mad house i shall start by saying what's ya budget? would you like a Springer ? or a PCP ? don't think there is any need to give you advise on how to shoot, as your father has if you can try a place that will let you try before you buy there is one down here but a bit far for you's to travel,or wait till the meet and try several you might want to have a look on Amazon, they have some really good air gun books and at a fair price then you can have some more home work to do let us know what you decide to choose regards Davy

  16. Hi every one Well what a week end!! It started with an invite to west down camp! To meet up with si again, and take out some bunny’s. I had asked me to be at the gates by 22:00hrs but I got there early; can’t stand staying in when there is time to go shooting!! I met si at the gate as agreed, and picked him up and drove up to the accommodation. it was still a little early to go out as the squaddies were still getting ready to deploy. So we had a good ole chat about air gunning and a bitch about regulars on here!! LOL After watching a exclusive of the latest editions to siâ€

  18. hi holly i am pleased your happy with the rifle your smile says it all!!,after what happened. and there are more nice people in this world than there are bad! remember SAFETY!!! at all times!!! i hope you have much fun with it holly, and practise and practise till you have it right then hope fully daddy will let you take some live quarry this use to be a 8ftlb rifle, but after some care and attention it is now 12ftlb rifle. so control that recoil, and daddy wont stand a chance when you both go plinking/hunting. PS thanks to rossi-j for dropping it of for me!! take care

  22. hi brad do not fill too 200bar!!! as stated a above fill to sweet point!! in my best Chinese impression! "why you no! lisen" reset both turrets and see how you go!! check these out http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/186220-3-x-mtc-viper-scopes-for-sale/page__p__1886418__fromsearch__1#entry1886418 http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/184954-nikko-stirling-target-master-4-16x44-lrx-reticle/ regards davy
  23. hi brad why are you filling to 200bar? you only fill to 190 recommended by AA your rifle has a sweet point :where its at its most accurate on the s410 is is usually from 170bar to 1110bar my rifle is 160bar to 100bar so fill to 170 bar go by the gauge on the bottle not the gun then you need to turn your scope turrets( while counting) full turns till it stops then count back,to half way point. then check it out for zero again,it sounds like your scope is the problem i could never get on with hawke scopes let us know how you get on.may be si or simon will add to this "i h
