If anyone reading this is seriously considering a vote for the BNP you need to ask yourself a simple question first: Would you vote for someone who actively supports, and collects money for the RSPC@? Let's not forget that the RSPC@ have done more damage to hunting in this country than all of the political parties put together. They fund other animal rights organisations, and have paid (using money collected to help animals) to have full page advertisments in national newspapers against hunting. If you support the BNP then you support the RSPC@ and therefore, the labour party (lets

I'd be interested in seeing you substantiate (not trans substantiate, that's just f.ucking silly) that statement. Show me evidence and I'll believe you. It was rumoured that NG is of Irish Roman Catholic descent too. Maybe then not the best person to lead a party that promote indigenous rule. Sorry SS, but I really can't face another 'trawl' through their hate filled website, but here is one quote (off their site) Also, here is part of their wiki entry, which I'm sure they would have edited if it was wrong: . Halal slaughter fine, but docking? It

All you BNP and 'Griffin the Holocaust Denier' fans should be aware that they support the RSPCA and think they should have MORE powers..... I'm looking forward to question time too. I've a shrewd idea that people will see Griffin for the man he really is.
  4. How can the stretch not work? You keep stretching until you feel a 'gap' in the neck. The 'chop' is a very ineffective and inhumane method in my opinion, and certainly not a way for a novice to try.
  5. The 'Chop' method is an ameteurish way of dispatching a rabbit, and often leads to bruised meat and an inhumane kill. You are better off using a 'priest' (a short wooden or steel bar) and giving them a quick 'knock' on the back of the head. The 'stretch' method is the most popular, but there is a knack to it (as there is with chinning). As Holdaway suggests, some practice on rabbits that are already dead is the responsible way ahead. Killing any animal requires a certain amount of emotional 'detachment', unless you are some sort of freak.
  6. As good as the rest of their traps...............
  7. I saw the first part, and was ashamed to be British. Kids on the streets throwing bottles and stones at a woman just because she was Asian The part I saw didn't involve any provocation, just pure racial hatred.
  8. I think it's got nothing to do with snaring, trapping or pest control
  9. Life seems hard for puppy pedlars. Shame.
  10. I thought you may Phil, but some of the less experienced trappers reading this may have misunderstood your post. Thanks for the clarification.
  11. You still need to use a tunnel Phil. Apart from the legal aspects, the trap needs a 'roof' to work against, which is why the approval clearly states "may only be used in natural or artificial tunnels".

What make are the half barrel traps? You need to be careful to only sell any gassing products to people with suitable qualifications. Poisons rules apply, and delivery must only be by registered carrier (not post office).
  15. Putting aside the fact that foxes are not affected by mixi, ask your self a couple of simple questions.... 1. What would the justification be for any kind of biological control of foxes? 2. What do you think the reaction of the general public (rather than the fieldsports community) be? When you've worked that out, promise yourself you will never listen to silly stories again.........

    Pictures

There is nothing wrong with pictures of dead quarry providing it is in the right context. Personally, I prefer not to show too many pictures of what I do for fear of them being used elsewhere, out of context. Overall the moderators do a good job of removing crap, although at times stuff gets left up for too long. I strongly believe that there should be a zero tolerance approach to rule infringements; those folks who seem unable to type such complicated words as 'you' and 'people' and 'four/for' are often the same ones who go on to write rubbish. Are there enough moderators to deal w
  18. Ever wondered what to do with all those bunnies that the butchers don't want? Interesting news item on using rabbits as fuel (Click Link)
  19. Remove the bone, fill with salt and then plug with a cork. Will last forever without stinking and look good.
  20. In areas where the law is a little 'grey', for example in cases of causing unnecessary suffering to a wild animal, the courts are likely to use any published 'best practice' guidelines to make a decision. In other words, while fence snaring is not illegal in itself, you could be prosecuted on the grounds that you did not follow best practice guidelines. With increasing pressure on legitimate pest control methods by various organisations like Action Against Snares, it is sensible to follow best practice guidelines. You never know who is wandering around taking pictures....
