i joined to learn some useful stuff off peeps that have done it longer than me,along the way i have chatted with some intresting characters also met a few and offered them a hand when they have had problems etc.If i hadn`t of joined i wouldn`t of got my pup either.

i got a old collie x spaniel she was 17 in november,a little stiff but still walks twice a day. lifespan of a collie 9-12 years lifespan of a spaniel 10-12 years average for a deerhound is 8-11 average dor a wolfhound. 6- 10 years

i had a show whippet few years ago,only 20" tts and weighed 30 pound, worked rabbits all night long,then out with ferret next morning.also took couple foxes Alot of people i know said they weren`t hardy enuf????????. my little dog run a rabbit under a plough one night,split his head like a coconut,while carrying him back to mates land rover he spotted a rabbit and was going nuts trying to get from my arms to get at it.

totally agree with what your saying there kay,when i was a kid we had our only bath on sunday night,we played in mud and cow shit and the brook,we hardly ever had any colds/flu.Now everything is aimed at being super clean,anti bacterial wipes,sprays,soaps.

cheers bud,it was the first rabbit he has seen ,but he just seems to know what they are and what he was to do. How is his obediance training comming along? A1 mate,learnt all the basic stuff very quickly now walks off the lead (most places) and to heel,his retreiving is great and recall is very good also jumping around 2 1/2 - 3 foot fences now,great with the ferret too,i feed them together as the warrener does in his dvd,workin with whippets.
