    I’ve sat at the window on the 5th floor of the book depository, stood on the grassy knoll, on the triple overpass and behind the picket fence, and by far the easiest shot would have been from the book depository. Its my option, and only my opinion I hasten to add , that of the three shots reportedly fired, the one from the depository entered Kennedy’s shoulder from behind, the one from the picket fence was the one that entered his temple and exited the back of his head and left part of his skull on the back of the limo, and the one from the triple underpass missed.     Right, I’m assured this is the definitive breeding of Maxs bitch ! The coursing bred dog Splodge ; was put over the coursing bred bitch Fettle; This mating produced a broken coated bitch that Max kept; This was then mated to Maxs greyhound, England Expects; Max kept a broken coated bitch; That he then mated to Sky Warrior, a non-ped Whippet scratch dog; This litter then produced the broken coated bitch I saw run today. Fettles genes must be strong in the line to keep the coat going ! Cheers.

    I may not have this quite right, but I know the sire is Sky Warrior who was one of the fastest non-ped whippets ever, and the dam, I think , was bred from one of Maxs greyhounds and a bitch from the coursing dogs Captain and Fettle. Fettle had a “woolly “ coat, possible from Bedlington in its line. I don’t think there was any deerhound in the line. If I’m wrong , I’m sure Max will correct me. Cheers.

    Just do what Max has just done, go to a whippet club and run your dog , run it solo in a time trial or run it against a non/ped off a level break. Please don’t come back with the wet farmland nonsense, we are talking about race dogs , and , in my mind , the top non- peds are the fastest dogs in the world over 150 yards, but, hey ho, we’ve been over this many times before, and the thread is about lurchers at the whippet track….     Max and I talked about speed, I like as much speed as possible in a lurcher , if it can’t catch up to its quarry, it can’t kill it. Plodders that wear the quarry down are a liability these day, I much prefer a “whizz banger” , on the field and off quickly. My bitch has surprisingly decent speed for her size. Max added non-ped whippet/grey to his coursing bred bitch and if this bitch he ran today is anything to go by , it’s worked, definitely a fast bitch ! Cheers.
