  1. I would if I had my HGV licence and if the wages were equally as good. Looking on Indeed these crazy rates just ain't there.
  2. Neither as covid as well but to deny that it's nothing to do with Brexit too is hogwash mate.
  3. Don't talk daft mate, let's not pretend that Brexit hasn't scared off a lot of EU drivers that has now left a big shortage.
  4. This particular problem though can be solved by the right people. I know not everyone can do their part but even if only half of those million called for stepped up to the plate then the shortage would be greatly relieved. At the end of the day we voted for this, let's just not moan when our turkeys are not on the plate at Christmas. ?
  5. Not a dig at you but what was the point in Brexit with that attitude? I thought it was all about taking back our borders and being in control of our own destiny without the need of migrants? There isn't just a workforce shortage in logistics mate, your suggestion is let the migrants do it?
  6. Just read that they have sent almost a million letters out to those who hold a HGV licence and are out of the industry.
  7. They are offering good rates and by accepting you're helping strengthen the nation post Brexit. Now I would never expect anyone to take a pay cut but if the money is there then why not, query it at the least.
  8. So much for putting the Great back in to Britain. ?
  9. No blueprint mate as Joyce lost. ?
  10. I know that mate but saving a vast amount of cash isn't my number one priority.
  11. I can remember an old tale that Marvin Hagler had a temporalis much thicker than the average man which may have contributed towards him having amazing punch resistance. I'm guessing there's some unknown physiological explanation that governs wether someone can hold a shot or not.
  12. It's like this, it's what you want in life. I like my creature comforts, decent car, gadgets, Sky Sports, nice house, holidays, etc. It's just that on my wage alone we can't really save up, I'm not moaning about it just stating the facts. I personally can't understand those that want to be the richest in the graveyard but each to their own I suppose.
  13. Their first and foremost priority is to line their own pockets. I'm not moaning because compared to a lot of countries we have it good but do I think for one second that the Tories or whatever party have our best interests at heart, do I fcuk.
  14. I earn more than that and I can clarify I'm in the same boat. Admittedly we have most of the creature comforts but are far from flash, still, can we save up a substantial sum of money, can we fcuk.
  15. That's it, me thinks though the Tories are full of shite and instead will be hoping to dish visas out like smarties.
  16. Bang them on the course and get them off their arsed to get payed handsomely for sitting on their arses. I've heard the government are after 5000 wagon drivers to help come and get them out of the shit, you couldn't make it up could you. We've made our bed and we need to lay in it.
  17. Come on then lads what's the solution for this shortage of wagon drivers? Get everyone on the rock & roll on the course and tickety-boo?
  18. Here from the horses mouth, nobody wants to be a lorry driver cos they are treated like cnuts. 'You couldn't pay me enough': Lorry driver explains why no one wants to drive trucks in UK WWW.LBC.CO.UK A lorry driver has explained why no one wants to drive HGVs in the UK, as the country faces a fuel crisis due to...
  19. Only our own doing, the place is run by idiots.
  20. Or maybe it's just all propaganda so the Tories can go back on their word to halt mass immigration? I mean it's only a matter of time before the shortages call for EU drivers to return.
  21. Yes but let's not pretend that Brexit hasn't had an impact in these short term shortages, again it comes to piss poor preparation. Anyhow I don't see why folk are complaining, the rough with the smooth and all that.
  22. And that's part of the problem as well, the attitude of why bother. That's the kind of attitude that is rife over here, Benefit Britain has been too kind to millions of able bodied lazy twats.
