    Thanks for the feed back. When I run with the dog he isn't completely off the lead as if I see another on the lead, I generally whistle him and put him on the leash until I pass. I mainly run through a couple of parks get him on lead on pavements which isn't for long until I get out along a rural river path. Often hes more of a nause to other dogs on the lead gets a bit mouthy but usually fine off it. I took my garmin out other day just to calculate mileage but didnt start timer as only wanted mileage.     I will probably keep him on the lead for a bit , monitor him. Problem I have is like I said earlier hes great 99 % of the time seems a shame.

    Thanks for that I will have a look at the canicross belt . He is a puller, especially until the first field then I let him off. He goes nuts howling when I come down in my running kit and grab his lead

    Hello new to the forum. I've been running with my dog a fair bit and he will play/get on with 99% of the dogs he comes across. His recall is good and will follow me for a 10 mile off the lead run no probs, occasionally he will be 20 yards away maybe sniff another dog but will come straight to my whistle and most of the time is within touching distance. This morning he mouthed at this young dog and the owner panicked picked his dog up and another group of women dog walkers started giving me some grief.     I very nearly got a working mali before I got my bull x. I was going to a place where they trained them a couple of sundays for 2 hours a time. Never seen such obedient high wired dogs. I was up for running the dog 4/5 mile every morning when it came of age obviously, but the owners/ trainers said that " I would just end up with a really fit dog ". Apparently they need the mental/work stimulation more.
