Well Moll I borrowed a camera hoping to take a few shots of the ferrets but to say I'm useless is an understatement Lost my camera charger in the house move but ordering a new one so I can hopefully get some shots of them actually working. The jills and hob are doing fine. The hob is getting huge and now weighs a shade over 4lbs, the two hobs my mates daughter took are even bigger. I went around last saturday to find them being walked down the lane in harnesses after their bath Heres a photo you took in the summer followed by my crap effort
  7. Briliant Moll, loooks like Jazz is capable of putting her in her place

  12. Extreme lurcherwork is an excellent book (although the author is a slight mince) and if I were you I'd hang onto it as the price will only rise.
  13. Why not wait until summer and get yourself a kit for him?
  14. Forrest lodge guns, thats the place. Only been in once, very small but crammed with some good gear. We occasionally have a trip to Euroguns over the Trent near Doncaster. Its a huge shop with everything you could wish for but its a tad pricey.........
  15. We all want things cheap Unfortunately not that many quality collars get advertised. A good new one will set your mate back around £300 sheets.
  16. Any good Aussie adventure books FJager?
  17. I wouldn't pick on anyone and certainly don't think i'm above anyone but to me you take on a dog and you accept the responsibiltity that comes with it. They are living animals and not something to put away, swap or sell when the novelty wears off. This IS constructive critisism, think before you buy I hope the dogs get a good permanent home.
  18. I've read a couple of his books. His book on Cattle dogs is interesting.
  19. Welcome aboard Steve, us Lincolnshire folk are quietly taking over the forum
  20. I trained under 'arguably' two of the best schoolers of canines in the UK.... They are both dead,.but I have never forgotten their kindness towards me,... I learnt a lot,... Salukis ARE trainable,...end of story.... Was that John Holmes Chalky?
  21. I agree and mine currently has BF Goodriches but along with insurance, xmas, MOT, tax and not much spare cash £400 for a set was a no no.......
