Again, who actually enjoys watching a dog and caged puma go at it? I mean its not hunting at all, just barbarism and I wonder what methods these (hunters) use in the field? I've seen films of hounds in the USA treeing cats before a humane shot is delivered, very different IMO to a cat terrified and fighiting for its life in a cage

I think keeping a couple of Bantams in the garden or an acre with 6 sheep and buying a livestock guardian dog would be slight overkill? They are usefull in Turkey, America and many other sparsley populated countries but redundent in the UK.......I've had chickens, geese and rabbits taken by foxes and I don't give them human emotion and take it personally, I just try and improve my protective measures and when neccersary the fox problem has been addressed . I do understand how Tis Tm feels though as it is upsetting for young children.

My opinion is that a dog attacking a caged boar or puma is cruel and has nothing to do with hunting, thats baiting. I think quarry should be hunted in a natural environment. Why would anyone want their dog to be put in a cage with a puma???? It all adds up to a big vet bill and a small ego...........

But what use is that in this country when all we have are rabbits and even when it was legal the fox was the only quarry to bite back, we just don't need those attributes. What lurcher is required to hunt an animal mile for miles and then finish it? When thats needed we have a type of dog called the foxhound........... FJager and his fellow countrymen would have much more knowledge than us and the quarry that could use its skills but as he says most Aussie lads use well tested mixed breeds................

i have seen dogo v puma 1x1 and the dogo kill the puma in 9 mins blood all over the place but hard dog i no som 1 in england that has 1 Just my opinion but for a hunter (not you, the owner) to watch their dog take 9 minutes to kill a puma isn't hunting and smacks of cruelty............... the puma was a sheep killer so they set trap for it then let the dog do its job A bullet would be humane and quick. Putting a dog on it for 9 minutes brutalises the hunter and quarry and gives the dog needless stick. Different cultures I guess but not my cup of tea, I like to kill as quick and
