  1. One of my permissions has an almost permanently burning fire-heap so they go on there if from that land. Others either go under a hedge well away from footpaths or they go on/in the muck heap to rot down and 'go to earth' later.
  2. My shooting mate and I are both using Howa rifles for our foxing. Mine is in .204 Ruger and his is in .223 Rem. Both of us consider ourselves to be pretty competent shots, but we know that the rifles can out-perform us any day. Niether rifle has ever given a moments trouble, and accuracy is beyond what we can deliver as the 'soft fleshy bits' of the equation.
  3. Looks a bit like a freshwater shrimp. Just how wet is your garden ? Do you draw water from a brook or stream to water the plants ?
  4. Sod the spider .. If I could throw a shadow like that I think my Mrs would leave home !
  5. From little acorns do come mighty oaks. 4 cubs playing by the den would mean 4 'empties' in the ammo pouch on my permission. I know what your reasoning is, but why wait for them to become the problem you know they will become ? Take them today and there's no problem tomorrow.
  6. Hello Hunting Life. Just joined after reading a few topics now and then. I'm a shooter of all things feathered, fluffy, or furry with a number of weapons. PCP air rifle, .22 rimfire, .204 Ruger, .270 Win and shotguns. Have been playing the game for about 45 years now and I think I might be just about getting the hang of it ;) I live in Northants and as well as in Northants I shoot 'over the border' in Bucks and in Cambs. From rats to fallow I'm up for it. Looking forward to sharing what I can and reading what you folks have to say.
