  1. You seem to be taking umbrage to my post charts . I was merely offering my opinion and my experience. Albeit 45 year of experience of running all sorts of soil and clay . As you will attest to , different soil and of course temperatures dictate the severity of nail bed injuries not to mention dog breeds . Again, you'd be far more knowledgeable than me with far more experience of deerhounds and their mixes . Lurchers and saluki hybrids being my thing . Once again, no offence intended whilst offering my opinion. It's all our opinions that keep this site going. Yours in sport Drover
  2. I think in fairness to mick . No one said early on not to brush into the quick, but away from them . What a brush can do that a soft cloth can't in that scenario, I don't know. I've known men to pick under the skin with a needle to loosen dirt . But imo the quick gets irreparable damage
  3. Awe your no a soup taker gunter , surely not lol
  4. Plough lizard lol. Looks well mate
  5. Haaaaa ferguslie park . Totally changed now tbf
  6. Al put you on the best that the English lads say as good if not better than most . Then I might send you home to think again lol
  7. Bang . I think you missed my offer . Al walk land with you . Then 2 weeks later you come to bonny Scotland. Then you'll have an informed opinion of Scottish hares . Promise a good day , grub and iron bru . Deal ?
  8. Nah . I'm like banger . Retired and talking keech lol
  9. You talk about Scottish hares banger . Yet you've never been ? Glasgow to Sleaford no problem. But fair play if you only stay in your comfort zone. Al walk out with you if you don't jack . As long as you come to gods country 2 weeks later . Then you can talk from experience rather than silly chit chat . Deal ?
  10. Absolutely bricking it pal . Canny sleep ,canny eat . I canny talk . But I won't cock .
  11. Banger , where have you run in Scotland. Genuine question buddy ?
  12. Is that Irish for " a jobby jabber "
  13. What's the big rush boys n girls. Is it to get the numbers up in September haaaaaa
  14. For the young lad with the pup . Muscles should expand and retract during exercise. When acidosis hits , imagine rubbing 2 sheets of sand paper together. Well that's what the Muscles go like . Very painful.
  15. Rain and a good frop in temperatures. If i was a running dog man it'd be October before I'd 5hink about it . Or if pups , as banger would say go to high pasture land
  16. I use panacure twice a year and drontal once inbetween . Bravecto in may . Sees the vectors away till frosts
  17. Haaaaaaaa your confidence makes me happy mick . Which in return fills me with glee . The thought of seeing your upside down smile on your east wind blown face as you watch what you already disbelieve lol . Mate , if seen it . Mostly from fools running early season in temperatures above 11 degrees. And feeding crazy protein diets . As you say there's only so much the kidneys can do pal . Very very few come back from it as you know
  18. Acidosis ?. Did he tell you to give her electrolytes and keep her hydration up . If it's Acidosis at that age I'd be extremely concerned. Sorry
  19. Is she sore if you squeeze her saddle ?
  20. Yes but the wee feckers can lie dormant for over a year in some cases . Always best to treat with a residual. As said above. Ficam w was a fantastic product. Pitty it's off the market . Some wize auld pest controllers will most likely have a wee stash . @ jack the lad , send me your address al send you a tube a maxforce. But don't use it till spring when you start seeing them again. But a standard ant powder mix it in water and pour it into the nest sites where possible. Should do a bit a damage to the ant population. Unfortunately their nests can go 15' deep
