    Great snaps guys, just out of intrest is there any poisonous caterpillars in the UK and can they bite or sting? Something i've allways wondered about.

    Read a few articles in the angling times about these poles cant f*****g stand them, first of all they come over here nick our jobs and if thats not enough they nick are fish. The supermarkets sells farmed carp so why cant they go there sorry but they really do make my blood boil. :realmad:

    yup - it works well for us. drop a worm in any deep spots and just feel for a bite. the river by me sounds like yours - i found a deep spot were no one goes, proper midege ridden place. i dropped the worm in and pulled out a decent sized fish. good luck.     how deep is the river mate? you could try poking them if its shallow enough and you get a mate to help out. Yea it is mainly shallow with a few deep pools, is that the old stick and the net upstream job

    Mackem sorry to but in mate, got a little river that runs right past my house with the odd small trout, eels and roach which i kindly set free. Anyhow ive never tried this but it has been on my mind for a few weeks now and its tickling trout can you give me any information on this. There only small trout which will be put back again its just a technique i would like to expierence.

    Mackem no need to jump to conlusiuons mate i aint laughing at your methods especially if there doing the job and catching you fish. Im just very suprised as ive never seen or heard of lake stocked trout going for feathers. Just out of intrested what sort of rod was you using?

    Cheers Mart, i know what you mean mate i like the odd struggle to work hard and bank a fish when times are hard on the lakes.
