  1. I was'nt to sure how to title this topic as i dont no the name of the trap in question. Any how i'll try an explain it for you's i think its the trap brought into use after the gin traps were oblished it has a sissor action and i think its used by burying it just in the rabbits borrow with only the gripping arms exposing and as the rabbit leaves the borrow steps on the pressure plate the arms nab it. any how what im looking to know well first of all the name of the trap and maybe a little history about the trap are they still made and who makes them and if not would it be possible

  7. thinking back on last season, all the game round my area is extemely lamp shy was entering my dog to fox but was finding it very difficult getting one, not due to a shortage of them but just could'nt get them in close enough. there's alot of lads lamping round my area and from the word go everything is lamp shy it's pretty hard going even when it comes to rabbits, first flick of the lamp everything makes a dive for cover. any how was out one night last year got into what i thought was a good position wind in my face and started sqeaking with the lamp off give it five min's lamp on two sets of

  12. we all spend or life trying to cut out the middle man trying to buy at the price the seller buy's it at and rightly so as there are those who tatally take the piss when it comes to charging, im talking longnets ,twines running line rings pegs longnet poles etc does anyone know any suppliers i mean were does those who sell them purcase them. i hope not to offend mole catcher as i will openly admet he is the cheapest net suplier around, if i ever need anything net related he will be my number 1 stop. if i had to choose one thing to cut the middle man out on it would be long net poles the deares

  14. when i walk Tipp and Peggy from pup's till now i'd pick a few blackberrys some for myself then pass a few on to the dog,s. when i was training them as pups and needed to reward them and had nothing in my pockets i would pick a few blackberry's did the trick

  16. snaring, trapping longnetting would'nt be a big think round my end rabbithunter would love to have a mentor but its books dvds and lessons from my own mistakes for me lad. atb
  17. does anyone use the glenn waters method of longnetting it looks faster to set up, i know its not all about speed, looks a smoother set up for nite work?
  18. i've been a member of this forum for about a year now and one thing i've noticed is that it's a very tight circle to get into may it be lurcher work ferreting, long netting or trapping it's a very tight click, you'd think for a forum full of like minded people it would'nt be to hard to get involved, don't get me wrong there are those who will freely help to which im very gratefull. just an observation. yours in sport Fathom
