    To be honest lads it was a few year ago i got the dimmer switch it was just a normal switch type and i pulled the big plate thing off and just used the twistey thing and the little unit and two wires and wired it straight to the in side of the handle after drilling out a hole at the where the varible lamps have it fitted, and jobs done... I anit even got the lamp anymore to show you a picture of it... It wernt ANY where near £15 tho for the dimmer shop around to you find somthing suitable..

    They make handy lamps for the smaller feilds/and rabbits fella, But imho i think the striker with a dimmer fitted is the best alround lamp (The dimmer only costs a few quid of of maplins and fit it yourself) ...

    Dont need to swap your full lamp fella, Just swap the screw on houseing...

    spot on dell, but you have to start with a 1x to get your lines. But yes i have seen better looking bulldogs that have been from better (working lines), and its not always the big ones that are best Thing is though bird some of these breeding this type of cross have proberbly never seen a proper bull and if they had got proper access to one they wouldent dream of comeing on a public forum telling every feker and their grandmothers about it:thumbs: Only one to make any sence on here..!!     Thay are big and can look a bit like LOOK AT ME type collars (The big thick ones), But can say 100% they do exectly what it says on the tin got one on mine and held up on every occation, Plus throw it in a bucket its clean and looks new again......

    Its easy to do i just used a hammer and punch and just split the rivet or what ever you call it, Becareful tho as there are two red wires straight inside where your planning on drilling, As soon as you knock the rivet out its easy from there check all the wires fix what you have to job i use a match in where the rivet goes for future ref,# Ps while its all a part its a good time to put a dimmer in if its a standered lamp.... Couple of quid out of maplins join two wires sorted...

    I've been told that if you stick a blob of vaseline on the tick's body, that it suffocates the tick and it drops off. [ not sure how true this is though, so has anyone else tried this ? ] Also, doesn't ivomectin kill ticks/mites etc ? Your dead on there,even a blob of butter will do the trick Does work but NO good if you have more than one jill in the hutch cause the others just lick it off, Better with vaseline if your going down that roate....

    the thing is dogs are judged on what they have caught and not what they have chased well and almost caught. a dog that goes out a couple of times a week will always look better than a dog that goes 6 nights a week at the begining of the night. The man holden the other end off he lead has got to get out there an in a mongest the numbers if thats what he is after, Likes been said round me you will be lucky to get 10 runs a night, But within an hours drive you can get in amonest a few, Put it this way one of the young lads round by me has a little lamping bitch goes out 2 aweekish an

    The numbers should come in to it really, Its all about whats there id rather have a dog that was catch 10 rabbits out say 11 or 12 to a dog thats catching 30 out f say 60/70 like iam trying to say its better a dog thats good at catch to runs ratio, I think most fit lurchers that know the score could kill 20/30 easy on the right ground with plenty of quarry, the right night and a man that knows how to use the lamp IMHO, PS yes fences/longer grass/stubble/REAL green rabbits that anit see a lamp.all makea BIG BIG diffrence 100%
