    Not wanting to continue off topic but if it was illegal, then wouldn’t it also count for the fac air rifle users? They all use round pellets for vermin don’t they?

    @Rimfireboy! I bought the 950 rounds that shop had left. What’s the view on solid rounds for hunting? If you’re going for head shoots, it doesn’t matter, does it?

    When I applied for my fac/sgc I received a letter from my gp with an invoice for £20 for the report, sent off a cheque all good. I then spoke to BASC about something else, who informed me that gp’s apparently aren’t allowed to charge for the report, I was going to chase it up but for £20 it would cost me more in time. My neighbour on the other hand was charged £60, so who knows. But if you are a member of BASC worth a call.

    After all of that, and planning on going with the SK, I find out it’s been discontinued ?ffs!

    A bit more testing this time 100 yards indoor five shot groups. Eley hp’s, Norma hp’s, SK hp’s and CCI segmented hp’s I like the SK’s, if it wasn’t for the flyers eley would be hands down winners.

    Its quite sad, I spoke to a gentleman in the gun shop about the lack of rabbits, he’s put it down to a few diseases that wiped big numbers out, but did say a couple of good warm summers and the numbers will come back.

    What do people do with their spent .22 brass, seems a shame to just bin it.

    I’ve spotted a rabbit on my permission on two separate occasions, it’s the first rabbit I’ve seen in nearly three years. So my question is, if I’ve spotted one how many will there be knocking about in the colony? I’d like to take a few, but not before the numbers are sustainable. Thanks Dave

    I agree with everything, apart from the parts about Piers Morgan, I assume the author didn’t watch the interview with the South African big game hunter. Morgan will argue the opposite option with little knowledge of what he’s talking about just to have the argument. But, well written and the correct way to go, if only falling on deaf ears.

    @meece ?? I am quite poor, but very stubborn so hopefully those groups will tighten up ?? The box is still going! Just sick another target on top ? I doubt there’ll be much box left at the end! I’m shooting prone off of a bipod and sand bag.

    Put 50 rounds of the eley 38g through this afternoon, a mixed bag of groups all at 50 yards. And 5 at 100 yards I also did this for @Meece

    Had a couple of hours spare this afternoon, bought and fitted a very cheap scope to my .22 air rifle, I moved my hawke scope to my lr and after much outlay on recent purchases it had to be cheap, £54.99 cheap. A Nikko Stirling 4-12x40, but it’s more like 4-8. AirArms s410 carbine zeroed at 25yd 10 shot group 5 shot group 15yd 10@ 40yd and 5@ 50yd for the price of the scope I’m very pleased, I was running low on air at the end so the 50 yard group wasn’t to shabby.
