Nice compilation FD & some good shooting??

Tell me about it, the hidden holes are feckin lethal, thought I'd bust a rib one season in the triangle ? made an awful popping sound under the rib cage. My left leg went down a deep hole and my whole torso bent to the left about 90 degrees . Probably looked like a bad yoga position if anyone had seen it?

I've been reading this post over the last few months but never commented until now. I've had a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye at some points, it's certainly been a roller coaster ride for you all. I'm sorry for your loss Jimmy, my thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time. Stay strong fella

Considering the birds have never been put up before they didn't do to bad. Some flying low and back on themselves, so it was pick your shot carefully. The 2 drives Morris was on it couldn't have gone any better for him. Perfect pegs and plenty of birds. The last drive I just stood and watched him in action, one bird after the other dropping from the air, what a sight. Let's hope it gets back to normal in December ?????? My birds will be getting breasted at the weekend. Mrs has already eyed them up for tea? we were having steak but she's changed her mind, we are having pheasant breas

Looks like you've pinched my legs?
-
Yeah, not a fart noise?

I know mate I feel dirty that I've stepped into the darkside? Dont think the perm would be happy with big hole everywhere off the 308 on rats ??? But it would be interesting?
-
I've got a 22lr it's zeroed at 60 mtrs so tend not give it much hold over unless I know I'm pushing it further, same with my 17hmr, that is zeroed @ 100 mtrs, again very rare I have to use hold over or under. The air rifle will be getting zeroed @25mtrs and I'm going to be making a chart so I know my hold over and under mil dots. The range finder will come in useful for this. I'll let you know how it goes once I get it zeroed

I always tend to shoot on full mag, but I suppose its what I've got use to.
-
Yeah i'll get one posted soon?

Had a trip up to the RFD and purchased the Hawke 4x16x50 ir fast mount scope. Came in at £97 which is ideal for the air rifle. But in true form I didn't stop there, ended up also purchasing the Hawke Endurance 600m range finder? My Mrs hates me when I go to the RDF, I always come out spending more than I say?
-
I think they will be a few people out doing a bit of rough shooting taking a pheasant or two.
-
The more pheasants in my freezer the better mate, the Mrs and I love it. Hopefully now I'm shooting off the left shoulder i'll get a few more than usual?? Seemed to work on the corvids over the summer.

-
Well you will go buying fancy night vision and a new rifle? I'll let you take a few to balance out what I shoot and we'll call it evens???
-
Because the fecking cats will have the buggers before the turn up at my door?
-
Yeah i'll take that mate, spot on, cheers????
-
Cheers fellas, I'm having a run up to my usual RFD Saturday, to take a look at some scopes he has, there's a hawke 4x16x50 I like the look of and it's under £100 brand new?? I'll keep you posted.
-
I always have my scopes wound right to the max on taking a shot, but I suppose it comes down to personal preference. I've got my eye on a hawke 4x16x50 and the price is reasonable.
-
Im use to a bigger objective lens all my other scopes are 50, the scope that came with the air rifle is only 44 (I'll have to double check). I've been thinking most air rifle shooters like high mag but so far I've been wrong. What distance are you shooting at Ben?
-
All low mags really? I was thinking more along the lines of 3x15x50 or 6x24x50?, just so I can get the head shot more easily ? Always seems when I've seen certain vids they all have big scope?
-
Just wondering what mag scopes do you lads use on your air rifles. I bought myself a cheapish pcp to take a few ferals out from in the outhouses on my perm. It came with a scope but it's pants tbh. I always tend to buy hawke scope and have them on all my rifles (22lr, 17hmr & 308) all with different mag depending on the calibre Do you lads tend to use a higher mag on your rifles for better shot placement accuracy? The few ferals I've taken have been at around 25 metres using a 3x9x44 and tbh it was a struggle getting a head shot. Don't usually post in this sec

Fecking hell mate, I'll be pinching your phone next time we are out???
-
He'll probably just borrow mine from now on??
