I grind stumps for a living.I do not know your situation  but generally speaking it would be wise to hire a tree man with a stump grinder versus you renting one.Just my opinion.

I live in the backhills of Alabama and I love it.I have miles of rivers and creeks to hunt and fish.In my small town there is 2 gas stations.Neither one accepts credit cards or debit cards.Cash only.Most folks in America would call me a backwards hillbilly to which I would say thank you.Friday me and a buddy left the hills to go beach fishing.The first stop we made was a gas station with 2 sodomites running the place.I looked at my buddy and said,We aint in the hills anymore.The rural areas of Dixie has some of the best folks in the world and some of the worst.These same areas generally have the most freedom you can find in the USA.The big cities aint worth a shit.Just my opinion..

We turned two baydog hogdogs loose one night.They left on a hog.Ran him 2miles until the hog ran through a bison farm.The curs decided to bay up a bull bison.We all made it out alive but wasn't fun catching the dogs.

One day me and my father was walking a lurcher.This lurcher had quickly dispatched everything he had been on.We could see a black dot on the horizon.We assumed it was a coon so we slipped the lurcher.It was a Skunk! Bad part was this was the one and only time this lurcher decided to retrieve his quarry alive.Me and my father was trying to run away and the lurcher is doing his best to bring us this alive skunk who is spraying everywhere.Rough drive home.Took 6 months to get the smell out of the vehicle.Good times.

When me and my father would take teenagers hog hunting.We would be walking through the woods and my father would shout ,Dont step on that rock ! The boys would ask why.My father would say,Its an Indian sex stone.After a day of hunting one of the boys would ask my father,What is an Indian sex stone.My father would reply.Just a fecking rock.

I have learned a few things on how to get a bitch in heat.Maybe it will help someone.If you have an older bitch who suddenly stops having heat cycles it is usually from a low grade infection such as a bad tooth or busted toenail.Usually if an older bitch has any small infection she won't come in heat.In this situation  i run a round of penicillin and usually  the old bitch will come in heat in a couple weeks.Im not one who uses antibiotics  much but this is one situation  I will.I have had great results with this on multiple breeds across Dixie.

Usually if a bitch isn't coming in heat its due to health or nutrition.I have been using powdered kelp to increase my bitches iodine intake.This has worked great for bringing bitches in heat including a 9 year old bitch who had never had a heat cycle.Word of caution.You must calculate the iodine in your diet correctly.Too much of it is very bad.When done right it is the best way to bring a bitch in heat.

Kelp or penicillin at correct dosage has produced better results for me than pg600.Just my opinion.

Glad you enjoyed them.That snake was a rat snake.Non poisonous.As far as poisonous  snakes we have copperhead,rattlesnake and cottonmouth.In the swamps that I dig I mostly encounter cottonmouths.I killed these two around January 2020

During the summer the swamps are full of cottonmouths.

Coons in Dixie went back up trees a few weeks ago.So I basically  hunt beaver this time of year as they don't welp until April.

I headed to one of my favorite spots.While the terrier was trying to stop a beaver I seen something bolt out the backside.I ran it down and caught it.It was a beaver kit who looked to be a couple weeks old already.I held the little fellow until I could catch the terrier.

 

After catching the terrier I released  the kit. 

I started walking back to the truck.I was feeling warm and fuzzy from holding that tiny furball.Then I stepped on a snake.

Seasons done.Roll on September.
