I think with bigger deer you need a bit of bull or Wheaton in there to do them regular

What deer you talking about ? Places I have run down south in country double figs on fallow in motor with seasoned buck dogs is doable , on foot not , you would fail the dogs here especially if your a fatty mate if you can do 12 roe on foot fair play , just to run 12 and catch them and all the shit after would take some going CWD ye doable Hill reds in day on foot having done a bit of this in a few places in Scotland I would say more than 3 and not calf’s your dreaming , just finding them and getting on them with wind direction etc takes some doing believe me , then

Surely ur memory not that bad ? I think the reason u pulled out was just in case ur dog got injured taking a fallow buck or something like that ? Totally understandable and a good reason mate

“It’s not because my dogs can’t do big deer it’s because roe taste best” you don’t know what dogs I got I might not just have bull x so stop the silly talk like ur the only one who runs coursing dogs , there’s thousands of coursing men kill 5/5 every weekend , I read about it all the time but thier always on thier own ? how many of those matches u sorted in the summer have you run out of interest ?

A coursing dog will be very rare and not normal if you take it out every week and it keeps taking fallow without eventually it starts pushing them , but if you got one that does best of luck as it’s in the minority

The lurcher ring is enough
-
Up till 2 years ago I use to enjoy it every year but last one seemed more like a festival than a gamefair trouble I’ve found with lurcher shows that as I got older my bullshit alert warning has got highly sensitive and I just can’t stand and listen to it any more
-
Can imagine , haven’t been to a lurcher show in maybe 30 year since I was a young lad with a strong stuff collar I did like a game fair but went to the game fair 2 year ago in Oxford and didn’t enjoy it
-
Look lovely in the shows
