  1. Obviously there are some people that need that from a dog but most people don’t. An animal like that is no good if it can’t be out with you the majority of the time, there’s nothing wrong with keeping hard working types provided you can do them justice if you can not commit to that type of lifestyle I would steer very clear.
  2. I would imagine in the wrong hands they would be a total liability. Cattle dogs are purposely bred to put pressure on whole herds of animals much larger than themselves. If they come across any stubborn beasts they solve the problem with their mouth, I believe that’s where the name “Heeler” comes from. They are robustly built flatout working machines with the heart of a dog fifty times their size if you don’t need that kind of animal in a running dog I wouldn’t add it.
  3. I wouldn’t keep one anywhere else, my own Kelpie crosses need stimulation and they have an overwhelming desire to be at my side. I couldn’t see me having a holiday they would probably commit suicide after day one. They properly need to be out doing something as much as possible and at every single possible opportunity. If they were in the house I’m pretty sure it would be destroyed the first time I left them alone for an hour ? obviously Kelpies and ACD’s are not exactly the same but I imagine the work ethic side of things to be similar.
  4. Wouldn’t have clue, It’ll easily catch a rabbit whatever size it is.
  5. Hunting rabbits and working with the guns
  6. Great to see the ferreting getting underway ?
  7. I seen that litter for sale and if I was after a youngster it is exactly what I would be going to look at.
  8. I have had zero issues with it, all I do is edit pics and videos on it and if I’m ever stuck on anything I just google it. It is quite different to windows but once you get the hang of it there’s no going back.
  9. I’ve got the 27” 5k iMac don’t really understand all the specs and stuff but it kicks the shit out of any windows PCs I’ve ever owned. It works well with my iPhone and the iPad and is great for editing videos and photo’s other than that I don’t really do anything else on it ?
  10. Nice looking little dog there ? fair play for offering him up for nothing that’s the way it should be
  11. The Dam has a fair set of lugs too mind, poor pups never stood a chance ?
  12. I haven’t needed to do much, she is one of them special dogs
  13. That was what I liked about mine the houndlike mind set makes them easy to live with, I kept three together without any hassle at all. Great little characters
  14. Had a bit of fun with mine and they got me through a couple of seasons, I enjoyed keeping them and having a ratch about but they never made proper earth dogs.
  15. Collie/Kelpie X Grew with a tiny bit of Bedlington, bred by @Night Walker
  16. It is a great playground but no place for “point and slip” types. You need a robust fit well conditioned dog that is sensible and even then if I see them heading for danger I will intervene and call them off but it is one of my favourite types of hunting.
  17. 3500ft above sea level, nearest road (and my truck) is a testing three hour trek away. But when you reach those remote areas it’s a different world a real sense of being alone in the wild. It’s good for the soul ?
  18. “Head to toe in realtree” usually got white Nike airs on too ?
