  10. i work away and my brother takes the dogs,they stay in his kennel through the day,he has a complaint from neighbours about dogs winging and barking,and wondered if this would do the trick? any posts appreciated,thanks b/w
  11. i work away,and my brother takes the dog as hes home,he has a kennel and keeps them there during the day when hes working,.....the neighbours have complained about them winging and barking at times,there brothers and just turing 11months old,now im considering the collars to see if it will solve the problem,but want to see from other peoples experience of using them and if they do the bizz before i buy them.........all posts appreciated,cheers b/w
  12. feel like a lucky lad ,heres me thinking it was his shoulder,saw a very gifted man on saturday night,and he found the problem,turns out hes stretched a tendon in his foot,he advised rest and lead for 3weeks, apart from that he checked the whole pup and said he was sound....happy days,the vet wanted to xray the shoulder if it was still ther in 5 days,just shows what a little bit of luck and speaking to the right people can do for you,...so fingers crossed he comes good,....thanks for all who posted,helped and advised,especially the local greyhound trainner,who put me onto this chap,very much ap

  14. since 4 days ago after a long walk,my pup had been running fast chasing another pup around as usual,when we got back to the cars i noticed he was light on his front left leg,now it seemed he recovered quit quick,and thought it was my imagination,the next day.iv felt him over and thers no pain coming from his muscles,or growth plates on leg,nothing in his paw,i think its coming from his shoulder,its only after hes ran around he carrys it for a minute then he seems to walk fine,im gona take him to a vet after tonights limps,he seems fine now but thers obviously somthing there,has anybody experie
  15. hi mate iv got a dog he stands just under 20inch and hes a first gen,hes nearly 7 now,but had some good fun with him,slowed down alot but stil keen as mustard, to keen at times lol,they good little dogs in ther own right keep on top of there fitness and you shouldnt have much problem with them,never managed to get him to retrieve but hes caught his fair share,he jumps no bother,will go under if he gets the chance,he aint the best with other dogs but hes grand usually after 5,10 mins around them and hel start to tolerate them,i sometimes think leave it lad it will eat you if its hungry .i hav
  16. iv always been a fan of the beddy cross,iv got my self a new pup hes 5/8ths grey 1/4 beddi and 1/8th collie,hes coming on grand hes just over 241/2 inches and still growing 10months old tomorrow,he picked up his first rabbit last week was daylight and a fully mature buck so i was delighted,great feeling,so im well looking forward to the season begining..happy hunting folks

  19. the pic with the snow was early dec last year [bANNED TEXT] we had alot of snow he would have been 6months then,was just a better pic of him,he caught the rabbit tuesday past,no snow on the ground here
  20. Thanks chalkwarren - yeah Jack's pretty excited. He'd been at me for a couple of years, after looking at some photos of my old dogs, to get another running dog but I made him wait until he was 13. So the week before his 13th birthday in December we bought the puppy. If I'm honest I'm as excited as he is. I hadn't had a big dog for nearly 15 years since my merle 3/4 died. I'd kinda forgotten how much they take over your life - and we're really pleased with him. Roll on next winter. borderscot is that the verteesh in the pic with the lad holding the dog,he looks a cracker best of luck
