Thanks Stab´s ! I don´t want to step on someone toe´s , you were the only one wich answer´d Matulkoh´s question´s ! Hi Stabs ! Why not only erase the link , write that it was erased due to the Cruelty or baiting pic´s , in the same topic and let the rest of the post open ? At the end there was a interesting diskussion about Terriers in different Country´s !!! I´m also not a fan of the baiting pic´s ( like you read in the topic ) but isn´t it allowed to write about ? OK if we look at the last link you put in it looks like a normal hunting day , walk with the digging lad´s and the dog´s to the dens , start digging , ...but what´s with the last pic ?! They fixed the badger with the tang so he must be alive , for what reason is the leached dog that bite him ? In my opinion the dog learn nothing from that only to loose the little bit respect he has and to loose that it can be the end for him when he must go down ! that is only my opinion and here when we got our Quarry we dispatched it imediatly and humanly or release it when the dog´s are fixed ! Nothing

If you have two terriers of equal working ability, same athletic build but one larger than the other, how can the larger one get where the smaller one can't ? Both dogs want to get to their quarry with the same amount of heart, one is physically more able than the other so logically it should be able to get further up a tube than the larger dog. My only experience is obviously with fox, maybe terriers shrink when used for Badger. Have you never had a dog stuck, being hurt by his quarry and not able to react 'cos its too big, or a terrier that cannot get close to its quarry for

ok ! a little more info ! I don´t know what for shows or showdog PB mean ! the breed is a very well used hunting dog breed in germany and i never heard of show´s for theese dog´s or seen some on other show´s ! 85 % of the German Jagd´s here are smaller in size than the Patterdale´s from Uk ... so will you say that nearly all Patterdale´s are not useable ! You talk about GregD ... i know both parent´s of his dog and belive me they are the right size for Fox and Badger working ...what about your dog´s ? Did they work Fox and Badger ? What did you know about Badger and their den´s

Hi Valerio ! I edit the part for PBurns , because i talk to one of the oldies about that and he told me to don´t react on thoose non-knowers ! Fact is German Jagd´s are bred for Fox and Badger work and there are a lot of small first class workers out here ! PBurn´s know nothing about German Jagds and Badgers and their den´s ! Greeting´s Steezy But i ´m interested in the american Digging history of a man that write such crap like that ...due to the strange history of this breed -- a dog created by theorists over a decade, rather than genuine diggers over several lifetimes. ???

I will get a pair or more this year and few people told me if i don´t want to breed better to castrate them even the female´s because of problem´s with their hormone´s they could died of that ! Did someone of you UK guy´s have a new Long Range TerrierFinder ? How is the result when you working with it ? The B&F is too expensive for me so i look for the LRTF or the New Orthovox Bauhundretter ! How deep can you locate with the LRTF and how good is the location ? Is it easy to handle ? we use at the moment the old deben MK1 and the Orthovox with the stubai pieps ! we really dont trust the Pieps and for me to get some MK1 collars in working order is nearly unimpossible ! ...or did someone of you have some for sale ? the meet of the badger has a very good taste..in germany some people eat them, and i have to say it is very tasteful. also the fat from the badger is used for different things. it has very good health effect when put on wounds etc..the only negative effect: it smells very bad. Do you not have Fray Bentos in Germany? Who or what is Fray Bentos ???

If you look under the calendar on the toppage there are 2 short videos ! If the old German hunters would known what they did with their dog´s they had never sell them any of theese dog´s ! they turn the german Jagd into the getting next banned breed ! Steezy

The Den´s like them from serbia are not allowed in Germany ! Here they hunters have artifictuall dens to let the young one´s try alittle but they are never allowed to go in direktly in confrontation with the quarry ( wich is the fox , no badgers ) ! most of the foxes are old dude´s wich know what they had to do ! i was at one artifictual den were the old Fox that is used there was around 8 years old , a hard maneater and also bite a lot of dog´s through the fence ! ... the dog´s are never allowed to bite the fox ! targa isn´t from Germany ! ...and we don´t have much Working Borders or even KC Borders here ! I never seen or hear of a good Border used here in germany ... that means not that here are none , but "I" never hear or seen one ! Greeting´s Steezy Ps. the flag on donnyc Avantar is the Germany flag !
