  1. Yep in the two bars every friday night lol there is cougars in the forestry areas but you aint allowed to hunt them. Some do get shot when they get near cattle farms

  5. not taken her hunting yet,thinking about taking her for yotes late december. she has a dislike to any other dog outside the house,so far 3 Pomeranians have had a good shake. since i live approx 200yards from the edge of town,we get the yotes yipping and the dog gets pretty hyped up when she hears them. she knows whats going on

Cooked up an elk roast today fckn well worth it even tho it hadnt been hung for a long time, she sure was tender not overly gamey either taste wise me thinks i am going to enjoy this one. dropped off 36lbs of elk trim at the butchers so in a week or so I should be getting 50lbs of honey garlic smoked sausage

  10. Got a fair bit butchered up just the two back legs to do. Temperature in my garage has been perfect just around 3c until late this afternoon were we peaked at 12c. Wedged both legs in my beer fridge. Still room for me 24 tins. bagged up 4 nice thick backstrap steaks and a tenderloin for the farmer. Will give him a leg roast and smoked sausage. Got approx 30lb of trim for the butcher to make the sausage. so me being me decided to have a dig around the neck to see if the bullet was lodge in there. Fck no.   12. looking at her hanging i think she will taste just like an adult cow. the meat is already a dark red. its not like the moose calf from last year which was like veal cause that one wasnt a year old
  13. i am thinking she is 300lb atleast maybe 180lb of meat or touch more. she defo aint no full grown 500lber. back straps cut into steaks tenderloins whole back legs will be roasts both front shoulders and any other off cuts are going to be sausage like last year
  14. I have tried to explain this to all my canadian hunting buddies. Told them we didnt have bag limits or tags or none of this BS laws with night hunting and wearing fckn orange. they dont get it. They cant even wrap their heads around our laws. its good here that there is places anyone can hunt but only the one animal per tag. the fishing here is excellent, license is 30 dollars and if you see water you can fish it but again catch n release or bag limits. i tried to explain if the elk problem was back in the UK the landowner would get them all culled, that you c
  15. started off at my mates place were we stuck the sleeper semi cab.i cow called for hrs and nothing. come mid day i was pissed off so off to the next spot. nice secluded alfalfa pasture.set up the caller 15 mins and nothing again. so drove north to an area were i seen elk in standing wheat field and the farmer said i could hunt there. he had combined the field saturday and when i drove by i didnt see any elk. so i went around the back of there and took a gander around,found a cow and calf prints but they disappeared in the track. there was more crown land (a
