  4. I've fancied one for years,but when they've come round it's always been the wrong time..my pal had one and to be fair the best lamp dog I've ever seen.Knew his job down to a tee,never needed to be on a slip n was more than capable of holding his own?

So after many a hour with my head buried in books and reading various articles on the net,i think im nearing the stage when im ready to try my hand at falconry.Ive been fortunate enough to find a mentor who rescues birds of prey whos more than willing to show me the ropes and lend a helping hand should anything accur,so a massive thank yous deserved there.The designs for my mews have already been sent to the woodman who's knocking it together for me,so things are coming together nicely!!!.I still have permission on 2 local farms from my lamping days,with varied terrain from wild meadow,bushy s

Here in leeds its not unusal to see multiple kites gliding in circles high on thermals,ive seen at 11 once.There the most common bird of prey we have round here and have colonised most woods round my way.Its not surprising really, as the reintegration program started at harewood house on the edge of Leeds,in which they released 90breeding pairs from europe.
  11. A couple of years ago i was exercising a young lurcher i had at the time in some local wood's near me in leeds.Something caught my eye and the same thing massive female harris hawk perched there 10ft up a tree,just sat there staring at me!!!..didnt batter an eyelid.

Best dog I ever seen run was of a similar breeding my pal had, except he was collie whippet x bull grey.Took everything single handed.Again,was a little heavy on the turn but soon made up for lost ground.Filled out as he grew older then the antlered lot was in real trouble.Be happy if my pup turns into half the dog he was.

Hi all,just acquired some new permission on some local stables.I know its abit un sportsmanly, but the landowners want it ferreting next month,but its a matter of pest control so needs doing.I'm looking to get back into the ferreting game so getting some ferrets might be a start.Ideally I'd like a full set up but any other offers would be considered please pm me if you can help,cheers
