  1. Aye he took to the dummy well all the retrieving exercises he has taken to pretty easily as he is a really keen retriever wants to do it all day... Just starting to make things a little bit more difficult for him now working on blind and memories as well as rolling a tennis ball down a banking to get him picking up scent to follow... So all going well going to concentrate on his scenting and dummy work for a month then at 8 months start bringing the stop whistle i think. Regards Ben

  12. Hi everyone, my spaniel pup is now 6 months old and I am looking to start getting it into a routine and doing some formal training with him. Just two ten to fifthteen minute lesson each day... I have got all the basics in there just relaxed nothing has been done too seriously just through play etc. He will sit and stay no bother recall is spot on and is retrieving fine. My question is... How far do I take his training to start with?? Where do I want to be with the dog by the time it is 7 months etc... What target should I set myself to get the dog too by then? I have watched a dvd

  24. Thats the type of dog you want mate imo no good if they are laid up for weeks etc Wouldnt say a dog was no good if it had to be laid up for a couple of weeks, maybe not ideal but far from no good imo Dont get me wrong mate hard dogs have got there place. The dog in my avatar is on the hard side and when I say hard i mean hard! Only got 3 digs out of the dog in his first season becasue he was laid up that much! In a away yes that is no good but of course you have got too respect the heart hard dogs show but for me I would much rather have a steady bayer in the kennel which c
