  6. well after playing with the rifle for a couple of days shooting at targets at different distances , i thought i would go out tonight and try on live quarry , so i phoned my cousin asking if he and our other lamping partner wanted a ride out and the answer was yes, we made a time of 8.30 for me to be picked up . they arived on time and off we set, we was out about a hour and seen nothing and it was getting colder ,i said lets have a ride over to the big wood , so off we went, as we were driving up to the wood we spotted a set of eyes at the end of it , so we drove up slowly but it had mo

Don't you believe it! Yes Lucky Scalp does get covered with a big spring tide, especially with an easterly wind pushing it in. I was down there on the 12th and all that was showing was the founds for the old lighthouse, untill a big tanker went past with a 3' bow wave. And that was on a flat calm day. If your going to sit it out make sure you pick a suitable tide and check the forecast! Cheers, Mark. very good advice mark ..

THATS WRITE AND LONG MAY IT CONTINUE. Scotlands shores rock, as long as you are below the high water mark on any ordinary spring tide you can go for it.I RECKON THAT THE DOWN SOUTHERS SHOULD HAVE TOO PAY WHEN THEY COME UP MIGHT DWINDLE THEM OUT A BIT AS THEY SPOOK THE GEESE UP WHERE I SHOOT.fOR EXAMPLE I WAS OUT TWO SATURDAYS AGO AND ALL THE GREYLAGS WERE TIGHT IN TO THE EDGE AND THESE PAIR OF GUYS START RIPPING REEDS OUT AND BUILDIND HIDES THEN AS USUAL THE GEESE FLY AWAY HAPPENS ALL THE TIME THEY NEVER LEARN WHATS THE DEAL WITH MAKING HIDES WHEN THERE IS SO MUCH COVER AROUND.ALSO

first things first the crown only owns the mud , not the marshes , marshes are normally privately owned, by ethier clubs who have bought them from farmers, or they rent the shooting rights for the marshes, not the mud from the land owners, big estates or trusts etc etc in england . then the clubs or who ever rents the shooting rights to the marshes, also have to rent the mud from the crown . i would also bet my last pound !! i had that there is no free foreshore shooting in england !! ...
