    Also 8 weeks for me. Look at it from a buyers point of view; would you buy a puppy at 6 weeks old? I certainly wouldn't.

    The most definitve book to date on the woodcock is by the late Colin Mckelvie (Swan Hill Press). Well worth buying.

    How is the pup 3/4 cocker cross 1/4 springer. How do you work out those figures you have posted. Just interested to know, as I would have thought that a cros would be 1/2 and 1/2.

    Just out of curosity why ?..they look like spaniels at this age and a vet has never asked the breeding of spaniels before just usually wants to see gun licence and documentry proof of breeding Regards STEVE Hi, Sorry for the late reply. If you look at the paperwork it stipulates that there should be a "true to type breed" which should have been confirmed by the vet prior to docking, and no "combination" breeds ( mongrels). Thats the legislation. Cant say I agree as they are working dogs and susceptible to tail damage. As long as you have the necessary paperwork I would not worry

    Hi You were lucky to find a vet that will dock a crossbreed, as they are not allowed to do this to "combination" breeds. Hope you get good homes for them.

    have to agree with the majority on here that the cla is a rip off. Yes the fair is a good day out but the admission fee does not justify that amount of money, especially when they are charging stall holdres excessive amounts of money to be there in the first place. entyr just to get pass the gate a rip off.
