One of the greatest rewards is seeing a young dog start in there heroic career, even better if you bred it yourself. Only beaten by seeing same dog retiring to a life of luxury after several seasons of faultless graft.
Yeah coypu, some friends of mine did lots using terriers. Very easy game lacking guts or ability, pupping training days from what I'm told. Although at the time we did have hard bitten black dogs still living post 1978 ban.
And we're off!!! got bit and stung to death, lack of scent and stupid undisciplined youngsters.Out of bed at 0230 hrs home at 1930 hrs that's it now 2/3 days a week plus gamekeeper calls. Wouldn't have it any other way."HAPPINESS"
Just spent all morning repairing boxes, cleaning tools, had the grinder on the edges all nice and sharp, new batteries in the locator box and torch quad washed and sparkling, nearly time!!!!
My bitch absorbed her litter and a second bitch also failed, both to the same dog, these were desperately awaited. Looks like I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and try for a winter litter, not the best plan.
.410 all day less mechanism to get clogged with dirt, bit more room for error on our part with the accuracy .seen plenty of misses from close quarters, torch in the mouth vertually hanging upside down etc.
