Went out today with a mate, we had some earths in mind to try on my permo but had a little bit of a walk before we got there. As usual I let my young dog of before we get to the spot just so he's cleaned himself out . Anyway as we're walking along the hedgerow he's got nose down and scenting up. I not worried because theres nothing there , famous last words I know lol and yep you've guessed it he goes down a old rabbit hole . Within minutes he starts baying then its goes quiet then baying again ,a quick check on the box 0.9 down so we start down and in no time we open up to him on old red . W

Fair point malt but I didn't just mean mild rascism and sexism though .I once had to go on a writing course and they had a guest speaker, basically a bloke that got hes script commissioned and it made it to tv . It was set in a shop and Martin Freeman was in it, anyway long story short he said that he didn't think that only fools and horses would get commissioned today because and get this he thought it glorified greed lol. And the powers that be like sitcoms to have a social conscious lol.

I don't think its there's not the good comic actors I thinks its that most comedy sitcoms have there hands tied as to what they can say and can't say. Most sitcoms today seem to be political correct and not wanting to offend anyone .

i`ve tried got half way through and ran out of material did`nt want to bulk it out with pictures and bullshit so its on the back burner for now..... and i got bored writing it i think you`ve got to have a real passion for writing if your doing it for the money i think it shows you`ve got to have your own style and in the world of terrier books some people have tried to mimic others and failed ...for me the passion was`nt there and i found it a chore.... very true mate it's alright writing a paragraph or a page or even a chapter but to write a whole book takes a bit more passion.

I take my hat of to anyone that has got a talent for writing about field sports espesicially terrier work. It must be hard writing about the same thing month in month out and still managing to transport many people there through their words , so they feel like they heard the hounds sing or it was there back that was hurting after a long dig. Ok most books or mags can get repetitive and some might get bored and some are better than others at writing but I love working dogs and fielsports so for me I will always enjoy reading about it JMHO .
