So why the change of venue? I take it the fields water logged?

Hi Luke, fields not water logged but owner decided that he didn't want hundreds of cars driving over it and churning it all up. Anyway really lucky to get a replacement, which will be inspected on and off during the day tomorrow and Saturday

Torchey - yes this show is this Sunday - Easter Sunday.

Old Nog, yes there will be some signs out from the original venue directing you to the new field - it is about 1/2 mile through some lanes to the new venue and right opposite the Train Station, which is signposted through the town

See you there guys and girls, were camping overnight so should be getting there for about 3.30-4.00pm so will catch you all tomorrow hopefully.

Sounds like they'll be some new faces turning up from on here too so it'll be good to meet you all.

All the best

Luke.

Just a quick question, is there a water source in the field or should we bring our own?

The weather came nice in the end, sunny but with a stiff breeze.

It was good to catch up with everyone again and have a bit of a craic with the guys and girls, almost losing a finger to Toppers Terrier and getting teased by Torchey and Bigboy for getting my dog to chase bits of carrier bag and Hi-Vis jacket about the field! :whistling:

A big thank you to Torchey for the Ferret, he's just like you said, an easy going, laid back fella, the whole family has fallen for him already.

I entered Roo in the Coursing competition for a bit of a laugh but heard some of the more proffesional racers whinging that it was slightly uphill and the overwintered stubble was too rough for their dogs LOL... it looked like good Hare ground to me?

Roo managed to actually win the coursing somehow, coming in just one point ahead of another Bullcross in a cracking final run!

He then won the working lurcher class and came second in the Bullcross class so top result for him! I've now got two nice Hare mounts to hang on the wall above his crate and Tess came third in the family ring as prettiest bitch! so all in all we had a cracking weekend! cheers again S.D.W. for your hard work and effort!

All the best

Luke.

Thank you Bull Mastiff - i think the day went well and I will post full results and some piccies later today. We have raised a lot for charity so I am very pleased - nice to see the true working lurchers winning the top prizes and I couldn't be happier that my dad's memorial trophy has gone to you - you a good sort,
