stagmad 91
Had a cracker of an arvo today, I went to a new spot just up the road I got permission to hunt a while back its just been to hot for the dogs. Any way I set the wife up with my big dog chase and the shot gun at the bottom of the big gully of blackberries and rushers and I started at the top with the rest of the muts,I hadn't gone 20 meters when a hare bolted straight at my feet and my borzoi x mopped it up no worries a very easy hare thought. I continued on and the spaniels started yapping and the runners were straight in and grabbed a fox, when I got up there they had caught 2 foxes I only saw the one break. I heard a couple of shots from the wife down the bottom and then saw a fox coming back up towards me, he spotted me and the dogs ans thought he would break out across a paddock to another patch of cover 200 meters away. Bad idea when 3 runners are watching you. When I get out the bottom the wife has shot 2 more hares and the big dog chase had 3 good runs on red coats and got 2 of them. Cant wait for the next cool day too do the next gully. 7 Quote Link to post

stagmad 91
It's a good spot ive got onto, it has never had dogs on it. There isn't a lot of small game hunters in my area mostly just pig hunters so i have no trouble getting country to hunt on. She is a good girl my other half enjoys a day out everynow and then. I always hunt on my own so it's good when she comes along, especially in the big patches, makes all the difference having some one waiting for the escapees. 1 Quote Link to post
