engr82 71
Sorry if this subject has been covered before but I was after a heads up with regards to the light weight cylinders you can buy for the HW100. Do they make much difference? How much? Any negitives? Many thanks Nick Quote Link to post
Wildling 520
I had one on my HW 100 and yes they do make the rifle lighter but mine was a leaking pain in the ass! Quote Link to post
Bunnyblatter 1,012
In a word yes My mate has an A&M cylinder on his HW100KT and it handles a lot better than mine without one on it. Probably gets 20 or 30 more shots than me too. I'd expect a few more from .22 over .20 but it does quite a lot more Quote Link to post
engr82 71
Thats good to hear as mine is in .22 and extra shots are always a bonus! Iv got the KS so its not exactly heavy anyway but i took the cylinder off the to feel the weight and it is a fair lump of the rifle! If it handles alot better it maybe worth the pay out. Seamaster 153
I find it brings the balance back nicely towards the shoulder and makes the gun handle a lot better. The increase in shot count varies from gun to gun with some giving just a few more shots and others up to a third more. Chris Quote Link to post

Tremo 138
I had one on my HW 100 and yes they do make the rifle lighter but mine was a leaking pain in the ass! +1. I had this experience also. I sent it back to the supplier and they said that it was fine. I re-tried it when I received it back and had just the problem. I then put the original back on and experienced no leak whatsoever. . Never got to the bottom of the problem either. Luck of the draw I guess. 1 Quote Link to post

Did it ever get sorted out though or your money back? Quote Link to post

Girlypants 10
I have a HW100kt, it dont need a soft alloy after market cylinder that you cant take off without the cylinder dumping all its air, the rifle is perfectly balanced straight from the factory and i feel safer with a made by the factory stainless steel cylinder that can be taken off the rifle without loosing any air, makes it easier to service the rifle, as for selling the rifle, i will only buy an all original rifle with matching serial numbers, i wont touch any tampered with rifle, especially if it has some home made air cylinder on it, even if it has been tested, i dont find a HW100kt a heavy rifle, then again im not weak and feeble , only thing i have change is the barrel band, i bought a rowan floating barrel band, but that was just cos i had money to burn, it made no difference to accuracy, i dont know which looks best, floating or supported barrel, either way it dont matter i have a choice, i might get the gauge cover next, just to add a bit of protection, the trigger feels fine so until i have spare money to burn i wont bother with the metal versions of the trigger Quote Link to post

Its not worth messing With it so I think il leave it as its not exactly heavy anyway. 1 Quote Link to post
