Now that’s strange! Being a member of several forums, I found THL posts a very interesting, and regular mix of different related subjects, very helpful, informative and not monopolised by know it all and stand off regular contributors. Without the fear of being ridiculed, even lesser knowledgeable newbie’s questions are answered in a respectful way. Some of the banter exchanged may at times be flamed, but it soon cools down.

Just my humble opinion.

Tron i am back up and running so if you want, i will be your friend lol. Sorry to read that you have been poorly, i hope it is nothing serious and you are fully recovered. As for "What happened to Buster" he had posted here that he was getting pee'd off with all the backbiting and snide remarks and he wanted to be removed. Gone but not forgotten.

 

My heart strings were tugged the other week Ron. As you know i had computer problems a wee while ago, well after the first computer decided enough was enough and fell on it's own sword so to speak. Members on here as well as members on the AAOC were so very generous with offers of help, some members like yourself even offered me your old computers. Well after getting a replacement computer (with the help of my older sister) and if anybody has had this happen to them they will know how frustrating it can be. You have to remember all the sites you had joined then comes the hard bit, remembering log-on names along with passwords. Anyhow getting back to the point, well after me going AWOL i get back up and running. I find that members of my shooting family, some who i have met some i have not have been asking about me and what am i up to because they have not seen or heard from me in a while. Some people who have met and or know me others only know my name have enquired about me. I have been a member of this great "shooting family" for about 18 months and friendships that i have made are truely greater and deeper than many that have come before. People who i have know and worked with for over 25 years appear too have not noticed my absence.

 

Well thats all the soppy bits over and done with, now lets get SHOOTING.

I understand what your saying about newbies asking questions but it is the same question everywere 'what gun should I buy' 'what scope should I buy' and 'what's the best pellets for this gun' when all they have to do is put it in the search bar at the top or google and will find the answer which is normally easier and quicker than waiting for response on here.

It’s very difficult to offer original material all the time, and yes I am guilty of asking repetitive questions just like some of the others too. Frequently I know the answer before posting the question; I do so to perpetuate interest and stimulate reaction in the forum to keep it alive. I always try to make my posts interesting to read even though similar questions/observation have been posted many times before. The very last thing I want to do is upset the hierarchy here but newbie’s questions should be treated with respect and not ridiculed. Once again I offer my humble opinion, which we should all be entitled to.
