  1. I reckon the books that were written by joe bracegirldle back in the eighties are a very good read particularly about the border canary and Norwich I'm always referring back to them

Hi Ryan I'm fairly new to this I've owned an air gun for 5 yrs usually go out with a friend who's got lurches and a terrier mainly rabbiting on a couple of farms and one or two pigeons still learning field craft my main hobby is bird keeping got a few border canaries and some British in flights
  4. I've had hunter balmoral sovereign less than 12 months old the zips went then the soles letting in water got some aigle neoprene now really comfortable hard wearing and warm in the winter

  6. Great pics mate thanks for sharing
  7. Hi Tuffty it's a great hobby I've had a bad season this year partly my fault I converted the old canary shed into indoor flights for British this wasn't completed until late march so the birds didn't really settle in properly I've had young uns hatch from two pairs of bullies but they threw them out at ringing stage just before I could ring them . Coupled with hot weather for lengthy periods who knows will try again next year hopefully they will be wintered there in the same flights and go down properly .
  8. It's quite infectious this bird keeping I've been keeping them off and on for nearly forty years I've got at the moment a few borders and one or two pairs of British . I'm gonna have a bit of a clear out come October especially the canaries and concentrate on the British next year.
  9. I've had canaries like this mate last year I thought it was the cock bird pecking at the eggs got shot of him found out when I paired the hen up to another cock it was the original hen I killed a innocent cock
