Guest Geordie
To hot, to cold, hard ground , grounds to wet , grounds frozen [bANNED TEXT] should you take the dogs out? Was just thinkin the same myself :11: End of the day dogs will pick up injuries no matter where you live and what the conditions are.Obviously common sense must prevail, every man must know his dog and its limits, but at the same time arent we all trying to find our dogs limits???? Anyone on here can run their dog in 'perfect' conditions and end up with an injured dog,or worse,a dead dog. Its all a part of the dogging thing to me,you run a dog theres gonna be bad times, but theres also gonna be a hell of a lot of great times. I know woodga has varied and vast permission, from moor and hillside through sheep and cow pastures right down to lush valleys and swamplands,so i would think that given the experience the lad has and the varied terrain he has access to he would of chosen the right place to run his bitch. Of course i could be wrong,im still a noobie to this game,i could be talkin sh*t,but even if i am,so what? Its not my dog,its not my land and im not woodga,i come on here to learn and hopefully contribute in a positive way,not to argue,i got better things to do than argue or question others ways or motives :11: Live and let hunt , :11: thats what i say Quote Link to post
Guest alastair
To hot, to cold, hard ground , grounds to wet , grounds frozen [bANNED TEXT] should you take the dogs out? good question mate, even the running conditions are purfect, dog will still injure itself, small saplings ,rocks, ruts ,tractor tracks, wire, farmers machinery left everywhere,i think the only way i look at it is to check dog after every run and if has a injury, then i pack it in for the night.like geordie says no point arguing over some one elses ideas etc u run your dogs were and when u want.
