gdr1 0
Hi everyone, just found this site via youtube. Been a keen shooter for 25 years but let it go for a while due to my job with the British Army. A couple of years ago whilst serving in Germany , got my German hunting license (Jagdschein) and got back into it in a big way.Since then i've had the priveledge to shoot roe bucks, wild boar and all the usual small game. The thing is in Germany everything from a rabbit and pigeon is classed as game and you need to be licensed to shoot it. The tradition associated with game shooting is totally different to the UK, there seems to be more cameraderie and respect amongst hunters both for each other and also for the game taken. Its a pity that i'm in my last couple of years with the army so my time in Germany is fast running out. I have just over a month left to serve in Iraq, then its back to Germany for some well earned leave and time to zero my rifle and get after the Bucks. Hopefully will be able to make a full season of it this year.
