Kay 3,709
when the kits are around 3 weeks old they will start to chomp on any raw meat you offer so make sure they have some daily & water etc Quote Link to post

stubby 175
if your not feeding freshly caught as in rabbit/pidgeon etc, I'd suggest getting some chicken legs/wings from the supermarket, chop into chunks and give that, bone and all, I'd feed mince, if I'd minced it myself, but shop bought stuff has a high water content to it, Quote Link to post
The one 8,585
I find young rabbit's are ideal for feeding to a jill with kitts and as the kitts get bigger you can increase the size of the rabbit ,i just find there a fine size for a meal for one and if the kitts want to suck the bones etc till there ready to try meat its fine and theres only a bit fur left and you dont get a lot of problems with flies etc. Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
I do the same as everyone else, whats good for the adults is good for the kits, because thats what your going to ween them onto in the future. Quote Link to post
John-B 4
be careful when feeding dried food to the kits as they sometimes get wedged in the top of the kits mouth and cause them a lot of stress, a bit like giving your dog a bag of toffee's Quote Link to post
The one 8,585
I find flesh fed kitts have a better look about them and the same with all youngsters i like to give them the best when raising them as it pays off when there older Quote Link to post
