woz 260
i have been on a farming forum, after reading a few posts i came accross this story....i was saddened to read the veiws of the farmers..i must say im not to strong with my grammer so i got hammered when i tried to reply and explain there is a diference between taking a few rabbits and organised mass pheasent poaching..they see no diference.......... 23-03-2009, 10:14 #1 chalky Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: North Lincs Posts: 25 ''poacher'' killed Saturday night -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A man was killed whilst driving across a wheat field near Limber towards the nortern end of the Lincs wolds. Men from south yorks were out in the early hours & the vehicle, by some accounts I have heard, pushed thru a hedge and dropped 30ft into a probable chalkpit- this is yet to be confirmed. The police have however stated tht it WAS NOT a road traffic accident. Wonder if this will steady up the plague of vehicular poaching we have had, it has been worse than ever this last winter. Not going to say anything too open to criticism, but, had they not been there, they wouldn't have come to grief. Google it & make your own minds up.

poacher3161 1,766
land owners in my area have never seen the difference you were classed as scum if you took rabbits pheasents or even picked musherooms out of one of their feilds it was a case of this is my land and i own every thing on it but the modern way now seems to be this field driving not poaching and as a poacher past and present do have for once sympathy with the land owners on this issue

digger63 3
Ive got to agree that i dont like field driving its causing more friction and bringing unwanted pressure on more traditional lads like me,that said i think its a f..king discrace to think like those farmers, these lads who have died are somebody's son, husband and father, its not worth dying for though is it. Condolence's to their families.

lurcherchavvy 3
that is just down the road from me, , i got told that they were after deer with dogs and rifles when they fliped there truck doing 100mph because of a ditch in front of them, apparntly the driver died at the scene, one man ran away and one was taken to hospital, which died a couple of day later, , when the police arrived there was no guns on the scene. i was in a field the other day driving with the dog out the motor....exactly the same thing happened but i stopped in time......it was like a trench dug through the middle of the field but you couldn't see it until you got close.....i wernt going fast enough as the dog was boxing....it wernt the fen so unusual this was in oxford..... Back Stabbath 1
Hmm...very weird. In Ireland no one I know of even asks for permission to hunt, I've never heard of farmers complaining.
lurcherchavvy 3
mabey there digging them too catch us?? i mean the lads who drive feilds hang on lurcherchavv and ferret feller, i was only saying what i got told, obviously i was wrong as spiderpig told me, , but around here the farmers are digging tank traps, thats what they call them, its just trenches about 4/5 foot deep, in places were it looks safe to drive throught gaps in hedges, e.t.c, f*****g lethal for running dogs. i know a few places i used to go....have a trench dug round the outside of fields to stop motors from getting in....but not in the middle of a field...never seen it before
FenMaster 2
like joe says a bunch of f*****g inbreds the arrogant b*****ds farming is subsidised to the hilt all by the taxpayer us some one takes a couple of rabbits or a couple hares and we are committing the crime of the century a young lad loses his life and those pricks are saying he deserved it. something gets pinched and its the poacher whos nicked it . they openly shout ill shoot anyone who i catch on my land (ive had a few of them in the past point the gun ive always left em vertical) i dont go along with driving the land myself i like the traditional lamping why dont they buy some gates and hang em properly and keep the hadges upto scratch and while they are at it get a brush out and sweep all the shit up of the roads they leave every where the poxy b*****ds rejoicing in the death of a young lad its the likes of that young lads father paying his taxes that keep those b*****ds in brand new tractors and the best of four wheel drive vehicles
