TRAP NEEDED

Need a trap to catch RATS LIVE any information on making a trap for loads of rats to be caught ,Got a mint spot any ideas ,Heres a few i caught before with my terrier at the same place!

If it was legal (which it isn't) for you to trap rats and then release them for terriers, I would recommend any of the British cage traps.

 

Pre-bait until you are getting good 'takes' and then set to catch.

 

The monarch rat trap is a good multicatch, but needs a little expertise to work well. Network make a very good single catch compact cage, which I've also used to good effect.

 

All of this is hypothetical anyway, because like most other law abiding citizens, I could never condone what you suggest (between the text talk).

try a box with a wire top for shooting them.prop the box up with a stick with a long string tide to it like we used to for birds when i was a boy.make the box about 3 feet by 3 feet. put some corn under it before dark go back 2 or 3

hours later and pull the string. have had up to10 at a time ;)

got meself a monarch but the bait disapears and no rat, is this poss as you got to go through a trap door to get the bait i need answers fast

Mice. They get through the mesh, steal the bait and get out the same way.

found this on U tube barrel a rod and an old coke can with bait on it will have to try it out for my self,
