Deker 3,478
This one comes up a lot and different rimfires like different ammo...whether this is all true or partly in the mind of the shooter is irrelevant. Eley, has been a favorite for many years and as their early rimfire reputation was mainly built on targets the ammo should be accurate. Winchester have had their moments and been up and down over the years but still a great favorite with many, and CCI subs are good but certainly difficult to chamber in some guns! I use Magtech subs in my .22LR which is almost exclusively a sub sonic tool, if I want something more I use the 17 HMR or .22WMR. They do me fine, massive HP, hits hard and peels back well, not the most accurate but plenty good enough for me and not expensive either! As said, many guns favour different ammo for different reasons and semis are commonly different to BA, but, most will suggest Eley works well for them and most will probably be right.
