wilko 1
can the lack of work make dogs aggresive. my dog is a nightmare for fighting .this is not something im proud of an to be honest it pisses me off. but i just cant kirb his aggresion to other dogs no matter what breed they are big or small he just wants to have it with them. he could not be broke to ferrets even from eight weeks old .my two jacks were easily broke to them. although he will never touch them or my cat.he will try to kill anthing within strike range . i would never get rid of him as i love the animal an went through loads of grief to get him. i aint one for a heavy hand alough i have had to clip him. im sure he aint the only dog out thier like it . what can i do apart from the obviouse .earth work . but permission is limited . an judging by the way he is im sure he.d be in the sick bay most weeks... cheers lads..... Rabbit Hunter 6,613
It could go either way, the work might settle him down, but from what I've seen from fighters when it comes to real work they're cowards...the only way you'll know is by trying to get a few digs to him and see if he calms down. jayjay 264
i have seen a few that like to fight with other dogs and are real punchy because they have had their own way most of the time but they just seem to yellow ba****ds, they can talk the talk but cant walk the walk especially when put to real work when they need that little bit of fire and drive about themselves. Guest miller1989
Well i go out with jamie2004live and the dogs a pain in the arse for fighting, ive a bitch so there fine but the dog will not back away from any dog anysize,he tried to take on a half cross bull grey a lad that took us out on his permission thankfully the lads dog didnt flinch just looked down at brock! As for working hes a top boy above and below ground and when working he usually wants to hunt rather than have a fight with the other dogs but if they go near his catch hes a pain to but otherwise he 120% worker! scent 509
i find in the summer months the terriers become more aggresive because of lack of work but as soon as the season starts back everything is hunky dorey Quote Link to post

Guest manda
i have a mate who has a nuttal bitch and its a loonatic towards other dogs, just latches on to anything and does this same below ground but in my opinion its not really a good thing as they tend to get smashed up too quick, or as said just cowards.
