can the lack of work

Recommended Posts

can the lack of work make dogs aggresive. my dog is a nightmare for fighting .this is not something im proud of an to be honest it pisses me off. but i just cant kirb his aggresion to other dogs no matter what breed they are big or small he just wants to have it with them. he could not be broke to ferrets even from eight weeks old .my two jacks were easily broke to them. although he will never touch them or my cat.he will try to kill anthing within strike range . i would never get rid of him as i love the animal an went through loads of grief to get him. i aint one for a heavy hand alough i have had to clip him. im sure he aint the only dog out thier like it . what can i do apart from the obviouse .earth work . but permission is limited . an judging by the way he is im sure he.d be in the sick bay most weeks... cheers lads.....

my russell is worked week in week out but it makes no difference hes just a natural fighter ok with bitches though sadly never been able to brake him to other dogs. just learned to keep him leadered. just because youre dogs a fighter doesent mean he will be a hard dog below ground seen a few fighters be sh*t scared of natural quarry

i think your right as far as being a natral fighter he seems to love it. but it aint good . as far as being no good on quarry .he anilated two red ones in me back garden above ground . he had to bolts to ground witch came by way of accident really witch i was glad they bolted an he surfaced just behind them as i was alone with no collar an no gear.. so given the chance i think he would be good.to ground . its just that instinct to fight every dog he sees that the drama .iv started to accept it. but no it could cause nightmares if i ever get invited out with other dog men...

It could go either way, the work might settle him down, but from what I've seen from fighters when it comes to real work they're cowards...the only way you'll know is by trying to get a few digs to him and see if he calms down.

i have seen a few that like to fight with other dogs and are real punchy because they have had their own way most of the time but they just seem to yellow ba****ds, they can talk the talk but cant walk the walk especially when put to real work when they need that little bit of fire and drive about themselves.

Well i go out with jamie2004live and the dogs a pain in the arse for fighting, ive a bitch so there fine but the dog will not back away from any dog anysize,he tried to take on a half cross bull grey a lad that took us out on his permission thankfully the lads dog didnt flinch just looked down at brock!

As for working hes a top boy above and below ground and when working he usually wants to hunt rather than have a fight with the other dogs but if they go near his catch hes a pain to but otherwise he 120% worker!

i think thats how this dog would be .untill given the right chance i cant say but ireally dont think hed be a quiter just the nature of him an his desire to hunt is emense. but listning to you just shows the thery of regular work dont calm all of em down... i think in a hunting situation he wouldnt worry what other dogs are doing and enjoy himself.. i hope before long ill get the chance to try propaly with noleged men...

i have a mate who has a nuttal bitch and its a loonatic towards other dogs, just latches on to anything and does this same below ground but in my opinion its not really a good thing as they tend to get smashed up too quick, or as said just cowards.
