Jamie93 57
Wanted to go out with my ferret today, but could only be out for an hour because had the hosp after. So got the things together n walked up to the farm Took about 15 mins. Then netted up an 8 holer and put my sandy hob down. He kept popping up and turning back down. After 10 mins i got the locator out and it read 4 ft. So out came the shovel and pulled a nice plump male rabbit out followed by the hob. Let the hob back down and out bolted a baby so small it went through the gaps in the net. So i grabed hold of him and waited for my ferret to come back out and put him back. Packed up and went home. 1 rabbit 15 mins down the hole. Not bad for his first go. Hopefully back out tomorrow Quote Link to post

Brimmer 220
I'm a bit soft myself. If a young un had come out I'd be calling time on the season. Used to just wipe animals out years ago, but now i've gone soft and stop at this point. You have a short season to make you're mark, try and do it in that time, if not don't ever complain there are no rabbits to hunt in the future. Nothing against anyone hunting in breeding season if you have the belly for it. Quote Link to post
John-B 4
Nice one mate, I'm with Brimmer aswell, I wouldn't kill a youngun or even a milky doe (unless the farmer really really wanted rid) I'd be tempted to pick off the rabbits with a air rifle, when's your next outing then? and where's the pictures???
