pashley1988 0
i have a terrier but have never taken her ferreting she is to excitable and tries to follow into the burrow and if i tie her up she howls so i cant win Quote Link to post
chalkedup 14
ive got a terrier but doest seem too interested in the burrows but he does follow scents through the fields but could be after foxes or even other dogs might just be nothing at home in the burrows ive been finding so have to see how it goes, he should be ok once he realises i want rabbits but he needs to be kept tied up when theres ferrets about so probley more of a hindrance than benefit Quote Link to post
will.f11 24
got a terrier but he doesnt come out. More interested in my ferrets than the rabbits. But I go out with some people with running dogs sometimes and I find it more interesting Quote Link to post

victor 10
all my dogs have been out ferreting sometime or another even the rottwieler nice to see, i bullied a friend to take his kingcharlesxcockerspaniel out and he did, it was good to pin them but never caught a rabbit that wasnt in the net Quote Link to post
Ginette 0
I'd love to take my JR bitch, but she's willful and can't catch a rabbit to save her life. She's probably too old to start as she's 5. One positive is she loves the ferrets! Quote Link to post
John-B 4
I work my Flat coated retriever alongside Col's old Lurcher He doesn't catch the rabbits when they are running but marks sets well and awesome when it comes to bunnies hiding in the dry stone walls he stops and scratches the wall when there is one inside and we go and pull it out, he even carries dead rabbits for us Quote Link to post
Richie10 345
I have 7 ferrets and go ferreting. Don't have a dog due to time/money. That's why my days out are hard work, netting up to find nobody home! Quote Link to post
