Irish Lurcher 1,013
Just a question that I would like an answer too. There seems to be some very good terrier men on this site, the likes of northsider and his mates, what I would like to know is what makes a good terrier, i.e., is it the size, is it the breeding, I know all the above are taken into account when breeding, but what do the experienced terrier lads look for when buying a pup, or breeding for that matter. Guest whitser
to answer the question, i look for a pup whos parnets are workers, genuine workers. a pup that beens well reared ie. wormed flead well fed and clean. and its better if you know the lad your getting it off and you've actually dug to the parents and seen them work(this isnt always possible). when it comes to breeding its simple breed your best worker to your best worker Edited January 17, 2009 by whitser Quote Link to post

Attack Fell Terrier 864
Have a good look at the pups and see which one is the most head strong and sturdy. As has already been mentioned, its better to buy off someone who you know or who you know is a real terrier man who has bred from decent grafting dogs. Quote Link to post
