Guest reload
Its common in greyhounds and whippets, and like you say black and blues especially due to the type of coat blues and blacks have...Its nearly always on the thigh muscles. Theirs not a huge amount you can do about it, but giving a decent mineral supplement like Kelp Seaweed and evening Primrose Oil can help push through new coat and improve it. maty j 6
My bitch has abit on the rear outside of her back legs. I never thought nothing of It TBH and definately didn't think It was a proper condition. It Is only very slight on her and you have to push the hair the right way to even notice It.. skycat 6,174
I've only had one bitch with that problem: within months of getting her on completely raw food it had virtually disappeared. Not saying this would work with every dog, but its worth a try. Also try Keeper's Mix from Dorwest Herbs: it seemed to help too.
moonlighter 1,165
my 3/4 greyhound has it too. i tried camrosa cream. it helped but its not cheap and is really messy if your dog lives in the house.

doris 6
my 3/4 hound 1/4 collie has it. not a problem.
Tom Pickering 28
As already stated but would also recommend dorwest herbs - keepers mix. My bitch which had pups lost lots of hair under her stomach and also found different useful products from dorwest herbs which helped. Also know of a few people who run alot of non peds and there all bare on their back thighs which is due to excess protien.
pedro 39
My 3yr old bitch has it, her hair on her back legs thinned and fell out at about a year old, tried benzol benzate, it never worked so i left her alone, it does not bother her at all.
