all this talk about this way up, that way up, if you look inside at the terminals, they have the + and - marks on them

Try using it outside. My finder doesn't work indoors as it picks up on the TV, the dehumidifier, the halogen heater, my ipod docking station, etc.

 

What is all this business about the batteries being put in opposite ways? That's utter bullsh!t, I have a working collar in my pocket right now and the batteries go in negative side first and IN SERIES. You never put batteries together with + and + or the negative terminals touching.

Sorry to dissagree, but i think Mk3 collars are different to mk1's etc. Mk3 collars have batteries side by side, not on top of each other. I will post a picture later if I get tim..

On MK3M's the batteries stack up on top of each other, positive side up.

Mine don't, but if you look inside you can see the "shape" of the battery on the bottom.

 

What we really need to know is, is it a mk3 or a mk3m?
