Matt 160
This part of the forum used to be fantastic. People came on here, asked questions, voiced opinions and debated issues. What has happened to it lately? We seem to have become defensive, protective, and worst of all, intolerant. That is a real shame. Sometimes, it pays to take a step back and think about things abit. Everyone has a right to an opinion, even if it isn't the same as yours. C'mon people, lets not allow this to become an all out bitchfest. Quote Link to post

Holdaway 2
Too late I fear. It seems some of us can't put up a post or ask a question without being jumped all over. Shame, good forum otherwise. Quote Link to post
IanB 0
I think you will find glenn and a few others are fed up of people only interested in making money, not with a true love of snaring and trapping... Also you may find that some people are unable to accept that others have different points of views and opinions to themselves, the likes of Ed.Cook, Moley, Pegandgun. Woodga, Snareman, Rolfe etc, etc who have a first hand knowledge of the subject... The forum is about discussion, not hate.. Lets get back on track, were all in the same game ... Quote Link to post

That will be us professionals then, not you sportsmen. Hope there's room for both, I love it but do it for the money as I'm a professional, self-employed pest controller. Quote Link to post

I'm talking about the likes of breakaways, etc he has shown people how to make, the next minute theres people making them to sell, he shared the knowledge to help snaring in the future and non target species being targeted, discussion and time spent with the SGA and BASC on the use of breakways and his simplified method.... Hes shown members how to construct the setup themselves not for people to make money from them.... I'm not on about your profession... This is other peoples opinons, why they are pissed off....People with a passion for what they do, that are disheartened by it... Quote Link to post

Lucky I got snaremans permission when I did then. My permission from snareman. Hi Glenn, good to meet you at the Pestech convention and enjoyed your snaring demo. If you can supply an address I would like to send you some of mine and tell me if they are 'up to scratch' I think they are but a word from you would make me happy. I would also like to send you a Pro Victor with a metal chin bar, as I know you can't afford Stainless steel up there in Haggis Land The other thing is this, I sell some snares and tealers from my site and would like to sell the breakaway snares for rabbits, I would like your permission to do so and of course I will mention that they were "invented and used by Glenn Waters, professioanl snareman of long standing" (not saying your old though ) Cheers Glenn David (Snaremans reply) aluminium i/2 inch right angle is good the double glazers use it , or for edgeing, no permission is needed as i never patented the breakaway snare , so get to it as everybody else is selling them , rabbit and fox snares. Thanks Glenn, thats very kind. Nice to meet you at last at Pestech, maybe next year if you are there I can buy you a drink (or two) at the dinner afterwards Cheers David So I can sleep easy. All the best H Quote Link to post
